The Lochrin Castle View is a very stylish, yet traditional apartment in an ideal city centre location, with Princes Street only 5 minutes walk, and the Grassmarket/Royal Mile a 10 minute walk. The Meadows, the University, many theatres, shops and bars are nearby. This newly-renovated apartment, situated on the 1st floor within a distinctive listed building, was built in 1897, and has bright and spacious rooms : * Large bedroom, which can sleep 2 in a super king size bed, or 2 single beds. * Large fully equipped dining kitchen. * A comfortable lounge with a feature turreted bay window, offering wonderful views to the Castle, a 30-channel flat screen digital TV/DVD and Hi-Fi/CD player and full size double sofa bed. * Tiled bathroom with electric shower and bath. A cot and high chair are provided if required. A comfortable single fold down bed is also available and towels, linen, electricity and gas and free broadband/wifi are included in the price.

The area is well served with a varied selection of restaurants and shops as well as the Lyceum, Traverse and Kings Theatres, The Usher Hall and The Filmhouse - great favourites during the Edinburgh Festival. Daily membership is available to the health spa and swimming pool in the Sheraton Hotel, a 5 minute walk away. (Prices can be advised).From the apartment you can walk to the West End of Princes Street, through the Grassmarket to the Royal Mile, to the Meadows (a large public park), and the University. It has lovely traditional features e.g. ornate cornicing, Edinburgh press (a type of cupboard!), deep skirting boards, original sanded floors and a living flame gas fire. For extra flexibility, this contains a full sized double sofa, and can easily accommodate another single (fold-down) bed if required. There is also a flat screen digital TV/DVD and Hi-Fi/CD player, with a selection of books, CD’s, DVD’s etc. for your enjoyment. The apartment is located on the 1st floor, so there are a few stairs. There is a Secure entry system, and a (shared) back garden. Pick up from the airport or food shopping can be arranged if required (extra charge).
