Child friendly summer holiday rental property on a hillside above the Provençal village of Cogolin. A large shared pool and separate children's pool is very close to the house. The house is well equipped It has a private, south-facing terrace with views over the Massif des Maures, usual patio furniture and two sun awnings. The terrace is traditionally planted. The lemon trees are there to be used if you are lucky enough to be there in the season. On the north side of the house is a shaded terrace with garden furniture and a BBQ. Parking for 2 cars at the front of the house. Accommodation: Living room with separate dining area. TV, Digibox, DVD, Video and hi-fi. Separate toilet. Kitchen with ceramic hob, oven, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. Microwave under the stairs. Bedrooms. 1 double, 1 twin and 1 with 2 full size bunks. All with wardrobes. Bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. The house is within easy walking distance of the town. Sorry no pets. Smoking outside only.

Nearest Train: Fréjus/St Raphaël at 35 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: A8 Le Cannet des Maures at 32 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 4.0 Kilometres

The centre of Cogolin is a short walk and there are some great views on the way. Its picturesque and historic but it's also a real town. There are stalls of fragrant lavender, herbs and spices in the bustling twice weekly market but they're not there just for tourists. Guidebooks describe Cogolin as 'cascading down the hill' and it's a good description. It's a warren of steep, narrow streets, wonky old houses and window boxes. The church is 11th Century and the clock tower reveals the ancient fortifications that once protected the town. The newer part has all the usual amenities - supermarket, banks, shops, restaurants etc. This is the Côte d'Azur with lots of safe, sandy beaches. The nearest is Marines de Cogolin a couple of miles away. St Tropez and Ste Maxime are an easy drive and there are numerous picturesque hiltop villages nearby. The spectacular Gorge de Verdon is well worth a visit.

We had a marvellous time in Cogolin. The house had everything you would need to make your stay enjoyable, lots of kitchen utensils including a BBQ. Newly refurbished shower room and three nice bedrooms.
Seating areas to cover all tastes back patio for sun and shade front patio for shade for those who like to escape the heat of the day.

We also enjoyed the shared pool very much, very relaxing and not crowded.

Just a ten minute walk down into the town, lots of nice shops and restaurants and the market twice a week, where you can buy lovely fresh produce, e.g. vegetables, olives cheeses and herbs and spices, as well as clothes, jewellery and lots of other typical Provence goodies and of course the Rose wine and french breads.

Plenty to see and do if you care to hire a car, Port Grimaud, St Tropez St Maxime and the local beaches.

Would visit again.

Alles perfekt wie beschrieben! Super Ausstattung! Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit! Der Pool ist genial und meist waren wir die einzigen! Nächste Bäckerei in 10 Minuten zu Fuss. Sehr ruhige Lage.
