A large apartment in a holiday residence, set on one of the most sought after pieces of coast in Sicily. The apartment is in a holiday residence in Letojanni, just 3 km away from Taormina, the town that is also renown as 'the pearl of the Mediterranean sea'. The holiday residence is full of palm trees and other exotic plants. The house has two terraces from where you have a breathtaking view on the bay of Taormina. From the parking of the holiday residence the apartment is reached through a staircase with about thirty steps. The house consists of two double bedrooms, one twin room, a bathroom with shower, an open kitchen and a living room with a comfortable double sofa bed. The living room leads out onto the terrace, with its set of table and chairs. The house distances 600 meter from the pebbly beach of Letojanni and can be reached by quiet a steep road. The use of a car or moped is recommended.

Perched on a rocky promontory high above the sea, Taormina has been the most popular tourist destination in Sicily for a couple of hundred of years. Beautifully restored medieval buildings, breathtaking views around every corner and a giddy network of winding streets strewn with shops, bars and restaurants make for a perfect holiday spot. Taormina is served by its very own cable car which ferries tourists to and from the seaside resorts down along the coast. Extensive beaches, rocky coves, tiny islands (such as the famous Isola Bella) and sea stacks abound, making this enchanting coastline a firm favourite with Sicilians and visitors alike.

Taormina: Taormina has been a very popular tourist destination since the 19th century. It has popular beaches on the Ionian sea, which is remarkably warm and has a high salt content. Beautifully restored mediaeval buildings, breathtaking views around every corner and a giddy network of winding streets strewn with shops, bars and restaurants make for a perfect holiday spot. Just south of Taormina is the Isola Bella, a nature reserve and a beautiful bay. Tours of the Capo Sant' Andrea grottos are also available. Taormina is built on an extremely hilly coast, and is approximately a forty-five minute drive away from Europe's largest active volcano, Mount Etna. Many manifestations and events are organized during the summer in Taormina. The exceptional frame for pop and classical concerts, opera and important performances is the Ancient Theatre. Taormina is served by its very own cable car which ferries tourists to and from the seaside resorts down along the coast.

The apartment was big and good value for Sicily and the area was quiet.

The apartment was clean on the surface but things like kitchen cupboards were unacceptable.

The terrace only got sunshine on one section in the early morning and was then in the shade for the rest of the day.

It was a very difficult walk to Letojanni if you did not want to take the car.
