Santa Teresa Review

I came upon this charming house by chance in 2004 and have been back twice since. Frigiliana needs no introduction (it's a stunner), and the village is within an easy drive to beaches at Nerja (and the restaurants on its eastern beach) and La Herradura, and the motorway to Malaga and Granada is only about 2 miles away.
Once you've parked the car and hauled your luggage up a set of steep steps (not an exercise for the seriously unfit), the house is very clean and comfortable and is a true home from home, and apart from the normal amenities everyone expects, it has good bedding and towels, CD and DVD players (even a cassette player for an old fogie like me) much available detail about walks, and two fabulous roof terraces - both with amazing views, with the lower one immediately off the second floor sitting room. The upper terrace is for serious sunbathers, and hanging out the washing.
There is a good selection of restaurants and bars and most of the eateries in the village are decent. There is a very good "house book" in which the guests have reviewed many of them. However, I would seriously recommend The Garden (under new ownership from 2006) and La Romantica. Jaimes is also good value and with good views. Apparently there is also a restaurant in the short narrow pedestrian street between the Church square and the house, whose name escapes me, but attracts rave reviews, but outside summer only opens at weekends.
I'd actually give this place 4 stars plus. Enjoy!
