Swimming:
There are plenty of beaches in Nerja and along the coast. You'll enjoy exploring them. In the school summer holidays the school swimming pool, just off the ring road, is open to the public. It's a gorgeous pool with a cafeteria, changing room and showers. Very few people seem to be aware of it.
Transport:
When we hire a car we usual park it on the ring road and take the steps that lead up to opposite the Allegria bar - that's the most direct, but steepest route. (Not for the first time when carrying luggage.) When we don't bring a car, we come from the airport by bus. There is an airport bus into Malaga bys station, then another bus to Nerja and a third up to Frigiliana. It takes a long time, but it's very cheap (about£4), and enjoyable, and they run on time.
Stuff in the house:
The house our own holiday home. There is a hair-dryer, and an iron and ordinary things like books and games. There is a TV, but we've never got round to getting an aerial so all you can view is Spanish TV with terrible reception. But there is video player and DVD player that both work. We have left videos and DVDs there, but if you're thinking of a long let you might want to bring your own. There are a couple of portable radios, one with a CD player. The caretaker organises laundry of sheets and bath towels, but there are also plenty of old towels you can take to the beach, so no need to bring beach towels.
