A beautifully positioned 1 bedroom apartment in the small French town of Cavalaire-sur -Mer. An ideal holiday destination for couples or families, hot and buzzing in the summer and warm and tranquil in the winter. Cavalaire is on the Mediterranean in the Var district of France. The beach is a sandy, 3 mile stretch with a bay fantastic for sailing, windsurfing, diving and snorkeling. It is life guarded throughout the summer season. The beach has rafts to swim out to, pedalos and windsurfers to hire, and good quality beach cafes and restaurants open all day, where mats and umbrellas can be rented. Cavalaire itself has carousels for the children, boule pitches, small dodgems, a 'petit train' and a new sports centre (completed this spring). The mediatheque has a good library, internet and videos to hire as well as a changing exhibition. There is also a cinema. It is easily accessible by plane, train or car. Nice, Toulon/St tropez, Marseille are the nearest airports.

Cavalaire is situated on a 3 mile sandy bay, fantastic for a beach, sailing or diving holiday. It is a busy small resort, very popular with French families. The chic yet fascinating town of St Tropez is only 10 miles away. Cavalaire has many small shops, great restaurants and bars, many alongside the popular marina. Boats can be hired, and diving is very popular as there is a marine nature reserve 2km along the coast- Cavalaire has 3 dive schools. The Isles d'Or are only a boat ride away (boats running daily in the summer) with Port Cros- a nature reserve being the most popular. The coastline from Cavalaire to St Tropez is popular with walkers - most is national park now. For children there are water parks, canoeing, sailing, mini golf, parc adventure and riding all within 10 miles of Cavalaire. Although mainly a summer resort, most bars and restaurants are now open all year and the winter is a lovely time to explore the local region.

Notes: The position of the apartment is superb with direct views of Cavalaire bay and beach. The beach is only 10m away. However, the shops and main high street and marina are only 5 minutes walk. The apartment is small but due to its position and the views from the good sized balcony it has always been extremely popular with holiday makers. We have a local couple who supply all the linen and towels, and who are on hand in case of an emergency or a problem in the apartment. They will also if possible pick and drop people at the airport or train station for a fee. The apartment is furnished to a good standard as the owners use it themselves. Most of our bookings are repeat bookings, and it is becoming much more popular for a winter holiday. The flights are a good price generally with a choice of Easyjet, BA and Ryan Air from London airports. Winter holidays at Cavalaire can be combined with a few days skiing in the southern alp resorts of Isola and Auron. (2 hour drive away)

Boating: Sailing is available at Cavalaire - either to rent a yacht or to book into the local sailing school which is on the beach near the apartment. Courses include, hobycats, lasers, windsurfers for both adults and children. Motor boats may be hired in Cavalaire - a full range is available. Jet skis - are popular and easily available for hire. There is a public slipway if you have your own boat. For further information please call us.

Diving: The diving in and around Cavalaire is good. The waters are clear and there are wrecks accessible to dive on. there are several dive schools in the town offering a full range of courses or if you already have the qualification boats to go out on.

Other Activities: Cavalaire is only 10miles from St Tropez - a charming small town not to be missed!

me, my wife and my 4 year old. double bed for the adults, comfy fold outs (2 of them) for our son.
excellent property. decent sized shaded terrace, underground off road parking, functional kitchen, TV and DVD player, excellent organisation, so everything went smoothly. very close to the town and the beach, a little too close to the road for absolute peace and quiet, though said road was pretty well calmed. No complaints. Cavalaire is a nice Cote D'Azurian town, half an hour from St Tropez and with more beaches and restaurants than you'll ever need.

Just spent the last two weeks at this amazing little apartment! Ideal for any couple who are looking for a relaxing break near great beaches! Bit small for more than 2 people. Photo doesn’t do justice to how close it is to the beach, which is very clean and quiet in the week. Many other great coves and beaches just a short drive away. Town was lovely. Nice bars and restaurants but they don’t dominate the place. Towns, beaches and restaurants recommended by the owner were all great! On the whole it was brilliant. We would definitely go back, maybe even next summer!

Although the apartment was quite small, it was directly across from a great beach, particularly for young kids and it was very close to the main part of town... just a short walk. A very relaxing stay, but probably better for 2 people rather than 4.
