Travel to Corsica:
If flying, it is best to fly to either Bastia( BIA) or Calvi (CLY). Bastia airport is approximately a 70 minute drive from Le Moulin & Calvi approximately 35 minutes. Several charter flights are usually available direct from regional airports to both Bastia & Calvi on Sundays, normally between May and October. Easyjet now fly to Bastia between April and October and have had flights between Bristol and Bastia and Manchester and Bastia during 2009. Alternatively, low cost scheduled airlines fly to Nice and Marseille from where you can fly on to Bastia or Calvi via Air France (ccm) or take a ferry to L'Ile Rousse, Calvi or Bastia. Ferries operated by SNCM and Corsica Ferries can take less than 3 hours to get to Corsica from mainland France or Italy. A car is essential & it is advisable to book yours in advance, choosing one that isn't too big or too low to cope with some of the roads. Most of the major car hire companies now operate out of Bastia and Calvi airports & some ports.
