General information:
Puglia gets close to 300 days sunshine a year with the warm weather starting in April and going right through until the end of Oct. The hottest months are July and August but with two seas nearby the air does not feel too oppressive during these months. Spring and autumn are glorious- sunny and warm with wild flowers in abundance. Italians are unashamedly devoted to celebrating everything Italian - religion, food, wine. And they show it with festivals, celebrating everything from classical music to grapes. These family orientated events provide great free outdoor entertainment and gives you an insight into the wonderful hospitable Pugliese people.

Activities:
There is no limit to the activities you can do in the region whether you prefer soaking up the sun, shopping, sightseeing or something more active. Beautiful architecture, ancient castles and Baroque churches can be found in all the local towns and eating is an activity in itself as the region is a food and wine lovers paradise - no matter how hard you try it is difficult to eat badly. With over 400 miles of coastline, Puglia has a huge selection of sandy beaches/coves (all of which have blue flag status) and there are plenty of activities for the water sports enthusiasts. If it is golfing you are looking for then Puglia has five major courses to offer. The 5* San Domenica Golf resort and spa near the fishing village of Savelettri, is the closest and newest.
For children there are lidos with children's facilities, and a major tourist attraction is the Zoo Safari Park of Fasano.
Distances and further information:
Brindisi International airport 28km, Bari 92km by motorway-quality road. Sandy beaches are a mere 12km away if you tear yourself away from the pool.
Although there is a main railway line along the coast, public transport in the area is limited. We recommend that you hire a car to ensure you explore the area and get the most from your Puglia holiday. This will enable you not only to visit the local towns with ease, but also take day trips further afield, for example to the spectacular caves of Castellana Grotte, Bari and its coastal cathedral towns, south to Matera famed for its sassi, the Ionian coast, Roman sites of Egnazia and Metapontum, and many other highlights of Puglia.
PLEASE NOTE there is a NO SMOKING policy at this property. We ask for children to be supervised at all times given the large garden and swimming pool.
Please note that check in time is 4pm and check out is 10am. This is to enable a thorough cleaning between guest changeovers.
