Tom and Ruth invite you to discover the joys of Valencia and its surroundings, whilst staying in the comfortable fully furnished ground floor of their 2-storey villa. The villa is situated amidst orange groves in the pine-clad countryside of the Sierra Calederona foothills, 30 minutes to the west of the city of Valencia and its beaches and 3km from the pretty village of Pedralba. This is the ideal place for relaxing away from the crowds and the hustle and bustle of the city. The villa can sleep six adults in comfort.

Notes to the rental rates

• If less bedrooms are used the rate will be reduced accordingly, please contact us for details. A 20% Non-refundable deposit is payable by bank transfer on booking. The balance of 80% is to be paid in cash (Euros) on arrival. During Easter, 1 May, 6, 8, 24, 25, and 31 December and 1 and 6 January you must reserve a minimum of 2 bedrooms. No Stag or Hen Parties.
  
• We have some items of baby and toddler equipment that may be used; pushchair, travel cot, bottle sterilizer, baby seat for the dining table. Please ask if you wish to use these. Occasional babysitting service available.
  
• A Welcome Pack consisting of tea, coffee, milk, drinking water, wine and beer will be provided, free of charge. If you wish us to supply anything else for your arrival, at cost price, please advise when booking.

The villa is built over two floors consisting of two completely independent living areas. The upper floor is occupied full time by the owners. The ground floor has three bedrooms consisting of a double bed, two singles and a set of bunk beds, a large lounge/diner with a wood-burning stove and adjoining open plan kitchen. The shower room consists of a large shower, toilet, bidet and hand basin. Outside there are ample patio areas for alfresco eating and relaxing and a barbeque for general use. There is plenty of secure parking for up to six cars. There is a 90 square metre sun terrace incorporating a 5 x 8 metre sunken swimming pool (filtered) with Roman steps - you swim at your own risk. The grounds of 1,400 square metres are secluded and gated, enclosing an abundance of roses and fruit trees. The villa is self-catering. Bath towels, beach towels and bedding are supplied and changed during the week.

Valencia, is just a 30-minute drive away, although it's easier to take the Metro from Lliria. Get off the Metro in the old city and explore the many attractive palm-lined boulevards and beautiful historic buildings, including the 'Torres del Quart', the 'Torres del Seranno', and the Cathedral Complex, with what the Catholic Church claims to be the true Holy Grail. For a complete contrast from the historic buildings, head to the stunning Ciudad de Las Artes y Sciencias (City of Arts and Sciences) designed by Santiago Calatrava. This is Europe's largest Educational & Cultural complex and apart from its stunning modern architecture, it contains a huge Marine park and Dolphinarium; a Science Museum, where many of the exhibits are interactive; an IMAX cinema, a garden promenade; and the stunning Palace of Arts Concert & Recital Hall. There is also the world-renowned IVAM modern art museum and the Museo de Bellas Artes (fine arts) museum.

There is a vast array of shops, bars and restaurants and the city is compact enough so that all its attractions are within walking distance. For sun-worshippers, the beaches of Valencia are excellent with restaurants, bars and first-aid posts. Sun-beds and parasols can be hired on the beach. Parking is free, although the beaches at Malvarossa and Las Arenas are also accessible by Metro/Tram. There are many more Blue Flag beaches along the coast and they are well equipped for a variety of water sports including Windsurfing, Scuba Diving, Jet Skiing, etc. The Sierra Calderona National Park, around 10 kilometres from the villa, is ideal for mountain biking, horse riding, and hill-walking. For something completely different, visit the 'Grutas de San Jose' at Vall D'Uixo - an underground river with boat tours. Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo is the local race circuit and a 10-minute drive from the villa. It hosts various motor sports, including a round of the Moto GP.
