Nearest Airport: Geneva, Switzerland at 72 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Thonon Les Bains at 38 Kilometres

The apartment is located close to the village centre and is only 2 km from the Swiss border and the Swiss ski resort town of Morgins. The village has a large number of shops, restaurants (20), bars and cafes which specialise in local produce and local wines. Chatel has a weekly market. Fishing - within 5 minutes walk of the apartment is Lac des Vonnes, which is well stocked with trout.

Additional information about rental rates

  • In addition to the prices above, a deposit of £150 is payable on booking. This will be refunded within 2 weeks of return subject to inspection. The deposit is not refundable if the holiday is cancelled.
  • The full amount is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival at the apartment. Payments can be made in euros - exchange rate will be agreed at the time of booking. The arrival date during spring, summer and autumn can be varied. Please contact us.
  • These rates do not include the cleaning of the apartment (including the compulsorary post visit inspection) and bed linen / towels, which can be arranged for an additional fee of £75 / €85. If bed linen and towels are not required, the charge (for cleaning / inspection is £40 / €45).

Notes: The apartment has a large balcony (9 square metres) which can be reached either from the kitchen / dining area of from bedroom 2. The balcony has fantastic view both up and down the valley.

Ski: Chatel is situated in the Portes du Soleil ski area, which is the largest ski area in Europe. From Chatel you can ski either from the village itself across to Switzerland or from Linga / Pre la Joux (5 km away by bus or car) to the resorts of Avoriaz, Morzine and Les Gets. The apartment is located within 400m of the ski lifts from the village centre. Chatel is especially suitable for beginner and intermediate skiers but, linking to the Porte du Soleil, is also an excellent resort for more advanced skiers. The Porte du Soleil area covers 14 ski resorts, including Les Gets, Morzine and Avoriaz and has over 400 miles of skiing covered by more than 200 lifts. Ski runs from the village -11 green; 15 blue; 16 red; and 5 black runs.

We (3 adults, 2 children) liked this appartment very much. Although we had to travel by a (free) bus to ski, this was no problem.
The appartment was new and clean. I would certainly recommend it.

This apartment is simply stunning.

We stayed here for 10 days and had an excellent time.

Its very spacious and the vies are brill. Close walk to town center and its just by the bus stop too so you can get a bus to the ski lifts with your board or skies.

10/10 for this apartment i would recommend it to any one that is looking to stay in chatel.
