Beautifully furnished brand new 2nd Floor apartment benefits from air-conditioning, 2 large bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, fully fitted kitchen with all requirements for a self catering holiday. A large and spacious lounge and dining area leading onto a large terrace overlooking the grounds of Verdemar III holiday complex, the Mar Menor and La Manga strip. Fully tiled throughout. The apartment is situated in an ideal location for the beach/mar menor or 10 minutes by car to other the med beach beside the strip which has beautiful white sand and a great deal bigger so the drive is worth it for a more useful beach. The famous La Manga Club is a 10 minute drive with other golf courses within easy reach. The secure complex is ideal for families and offers an indoor pool and sauna, outdoor pools with waterfall and spa, equipped gym and sun roof terraces, children's play area and allocated secure underground car parking next to the lifts.

Weather is generally mild not dropping below 17 degrees and enjoys sun for 320 days of the year, making it an ideal location for holidays any time of the year. Summers can be hot climbing to 30 degrees. The Mar Menor is well known for its natural mineral healing properties and is very popular with the the Spanish community, The Mar Menor, the largest salt lake in Europe is shallow and non tidal making it a perfect place for swimming, water sports and having fun. The famous La Manga Golf Club & Hyatt Regency Hotel is a 10 minute drive from the complex, where you can play golf & enjoy any of the facilities or dine at the restaurant or al fresco dining area at La Hyatt Regency Hotel. There is a large supermarket, various shops and some nice restaurants at Cabo du Palos 5 minutes along the main road and on Sundays a large popular Market.Locally there are tennis courts, go -karting , horse riding and water sports to be enjoyed.

Nearest Travel Links: Airport: Murcia (San Javier) Railway: Los Nietos. Playa Honda is easily accessible from either Alicante airport or San Javier (Murcia) airport. There are regular flights with all airlines from airports, at a very reasonable cost such as easyjet, flymonarch, ryanair, bmibaby. If you prefer to rent a car there are many to chose from like alicante-carhire or on arrival there is an abundant choice of car hire companies all serving the airports. Should you require advice please don’t hesitate to ask and we can refer you to a client whom we use and other clients use quite often. Should you not wish to hire a car then airport collection from Murcia airport can be arranged. We do recommend car hire as it allows you to do so much more – visiting different beaches, surrounding towns etc.

It was a perfect holiday. I didn't have to worry about anything. I booked my flight and that was it. I was offered the option of a car and I accepted and it was booked for me. It was waiting for me at the airport. My accommodation was also available for the dates that I wanted. Private parking, pool, security, gym and friendly people. All instruction was given to me, the only thing I had to worry about, was driving on the right side of the road.

The accommodation when I got there was clean, I had everything I needed, cooker for a self catering holiday, Washing machine, TV, Music Stereo, things for the beach if you wish. Shops by the appartment area. There was nothing more that I could ask for.

I had a fantastic holiday and I would go to Playa Honda any day.

Thank you to Sue & Carlos for the opportunity to visit there appartment.

One week getaway

This apartment is a great place to go if you want to stay somwhere where you need some chill out time but also where there is plenty to do but not too touristy with it.

The apartment is well furnished, clean and user friendly. The balcony also has a lovely view of Mar Menor. The on site facilities are also good, including a swimming pool, sauna and (for all those crazy people out there) a gym.

We ate out every night and mainly went to La Manga Club Resort where there are plenty of good restaurants to choose from - if you like Chinese food you will love Mr Chans! There are also some good places to eat in nearby Los Belones.

The apartment has a guide book to the local area which came in handy. From the book we decided to visit Cartagena which has lovely architechture and a port to walk along. We also took a trip to a local market where there was lots of lovely fresh produce to buy.

We would recommend that anyone planning to stay at the apartment books a hire car (we found Sol-Mar very good and the prices reasonable) as apart from the Mar Menor which is on the doorstep, most places you would want to visit are a short drive away.

Excellent apartment

The property was located near to the beach with a few bars at walking distance.
The property itself was had modern facilities and was clean.
The agents met us on our arrival with the key and there were no problems with this.
I would definately stay there again.

my name is chris and im just writeing a short note to say what a gret week i had with my fiance yvonne her daughter nikki and little alanah age 3(nikkis daughter)all i can say is deafo be back and hope took book it again in the very near future,lovely apt which we treated as ar own and great area,and a very big thank you to all the staff at brambels bar an english bar that wer great to us whn we arrived on ar first nite,also the managemnt company bent over backwards for us,ill b booking apt asap thanks sue,im sure yvonne will write her own review

Our romantic getaway at Verdemar III

My husband and I stayed at the apartment mid-September 2008 and we were very impressed. It was the perfect get-away and we could not have asked for more. The apartment was clean and comfortable with modern décor and all the amenities. The view from the balcony is beautiful with the ocean being a 2 minute walk away. If you are not afraid of heights, take the lift up to the roof where you can see for miles – the view is breath taking.

Although we were only there a week, we managed to get around! We shopped til we dropped in Cartagena, we visited the world renowned La Manga club, we drove around the nearby mountains until nightfall and we fed giraffes at Terra Natura in Benidorm. The apartment is also very near the La Manga Strip where we went almost every night. There you can find restaurants, hotels and markets which open until late. The area is dripping in Spanish culture and Spanish cuisine, however for those of you who need your creature comforts, you can find Fish & Chips on the Strip as well and a Chinese buffet! We ate out and cooked in the apartment, we even found an Aldi Supermarket 5 minutes away!

The weather was wonderful – it was hot but not unbearably so. It was around 80 – 85 degrees. The beaches are beautiful, the water is clear and the locals are friendly. Prepare for total relaxation.

We would definitely go back. A huge thank you to Sue and Carl for a lovely holiday. From booking to departure, everything is well organised for you. All you have to do is relax and enjoy yourself. So…. do yourself a favour and book your stay at Verdamar III, you won’t regret it!
