Holiday of a Dream!

The first glimpse of Norway when landing at Haugesund airport is breathtaking but nothing compared to the journey on the way to Hardanger with the views of the fjord, mountains, green grass and fir trees.
Taking about one and a half hours from the airport, the house is easy to find.
On ascending up the drive to the very spacious house, a feeling of excitement and curiosity sets in, which stays for the whole holiday.
The house is “home” with plenty of room for a family of 5 (or more) and the furniture and beds are very comfortable.
There is nothing lacking with videos, plenty of crockery and even scissors in the drawer.
The “quietness” is ongoing and the view from the lounge through the enormous window is captivating. The balcony with table and plenty of chairs also offers room for relaxation.
Anyone unable to get out and about would benefit because of the fantastic view of the fjord and glacier facing you from the kitchen, lounge and balcony.
The area is surrounded with different walks each day but a car is advisable so as to get as much from Norway during your day as possible.
In Odda, a village 20 mins drive away, there are two supermarkets, which offer a good variety of food at affordable prices.
We were able to eat out for £10 a head, a two course meal.
Any queries – the Landlord’s parents live only down the road and are most helpful and friendly.
Whether you turn left or right from the property, the area offers exciting places to explore and remains in ones memory as “a dream”.
