Mas Berangere is an 18th century Provencal stone farmhouse of character and charm set in 2 acres of private gardens with wisteria, mimosa and lavender scenting the air. Situated on the edge of the Medieval village of Vers Pont Du Gard, in the valley of the river Gardon, we are surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and orchards. The Mas and 3 gites which share a large private pool have been renovated to preserve their character and charm, whilst providing modern day comforts and convenience. The very large 15x7 metre pool and full size table tennis will delight children and the active alike and there are plenty of tree-shaded areas (and sunshades) for those who prefer to relax. Each property has a private garden or terrace with outside dining and bbq. A 2km stroll through the wild herbs of the Garrigue is the Roman aqueduct the Pont du Gard and the wonderful cities of Uzes(10km), Nimes(27km), Avignon(27km) and Arles(40km) are all very easy to reach.We look forward to welcoming you.

LONGER AUTUMN, WINTER AND SPRING LETS AVAILABLE PLEASE ASK FOR FURTHER DETAILS. Part of an 18th century Provencal farmhouse, built of local stone, Gite Laurier is an independent apartment on the first and second floor, Entered via a large, private, west facing Sun Terrace with its own dining table and BBQ (a perfect spot to watch the sun set). Through large double doors to comfortable seating/dining area in this light and spacious open plan room with double height ceilings, antique country furniture, cd/tape/radio. This leads into the fully equipped modern stainless steel kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, gas/electric cooker, extractor. There is a large shower room and WC on same level. The kitchen and shower room look over the gardens and fields behind the gites. Upstairs is the bedroom with 5' double bed plenty of wardrobe /storage space and views over the Gorge du Gardon.

Mas Berangere is surrounded by history and beauty. 2km from the magnificent Roman aqueduct the Pont du Gard. 10km from the beautiful Medieval City of Uzes with its 12th C renaissance Cathedral tower and warm stone streets surrounding the arcaded fountain square of the Place aux Herbes, where on Saturdays and Wednesdays there are superb markets. Uzes, as with the bigger cities, has important festivals, including Baroque music, modern dance, wine, truffles etc throughout the year. We are ideally placed for historic Avignon (27km) for the Palais des Papes and drama festival. Arles (40km), home of Van Gogh, still uses its Roman Amphitheatre and Arena, Vibrant Nimes (27km) boasts the Roman Maison Carre and Arena where concerts and Ferias are still held, as well as Norman Fosters Musee d'Art Modern. The Camargue, its white horses, bulls and flamingo are an hour away. The village of Vers is a short stroll where you will find baker, tabac, pharmacy, post office, minimart & wine co-op.

An excellent location, perfect views, a friendly welcome form Sue and Peter, not forgetting Floyd and Rosie, we can recommend this accommodation without reservation!
The farmhouse and the gites are equipped with every comfort, each gite is very private and the swimming pool can't be beaten after a hot day's sight-seeing!
The location also can't be beaten, with Uzes, Avignon, Nimes and Arles all within easy reach and all worth seeing(not to mention the Pont Du Gard!).
