This superb medieval castle dates from the 12th century onwards, and consists of the main building, four towers and a dovecote, extensive terraced gardens covering 2 hectares (5 acres) and a swimming pool. If what you have in mind is getting away from it all with family or friends, you can rent the entire château and have the buildings, park and pool all to yourselves. You can rent the entire chateau for parties of up to 14 persons. Bed linen provided. On the ground floor: a spacious entrance hall leading to the Great Hall, the small drawing room, the library and the dining room. Kitchen and lavatories nearby. On the first floor: the upstairs drawing room, four double bedrooms, one triple bedroom, four bathrooms. On the second floor: a double room, a bathroom. In the two-hectare (5 acre) park: the orangery, terraces, box hedges, swimming pools, vines… If you wish, you may also hire members of the domestic staff (maid, cook etc.).

Visit Beziers, Narbonne with their cathedrals, the ancient walled city of Carcassonne, the ancient Cathar city of Minerve, the chateaux of Cathars, the abbaye of Lagrasse and the cistercian abbaye of Fontfroide. Take a drink along the canal du Midi or make a journey trip in the Montagne Noire, offering hiking, mountain biking, fishing. Attractions around Agel : tennis, bathing, parachuting, plane, canoling, African reserve of Sigean. Shops and services : There is no shops in the village (except the post office) but all the traders come in the village frequently. In the village of Aigues-vives (3 km) you can find a café-restaurant, a baker, and a grocery shop. The village of Bize (6km) has a café-bar, a baker, a butcher, a post office, 2 grocery shops, a pharmacy and some restaurants. At 15 km (in Olonzac, Saint Marcel or Capestang) you can find supermarkets. You have also some good restaurants nearby Agel.
