Location
Chamonix is a very large town, and compared to other resorts that are purpose built, it is often hard to find a property that is near lifts, ski runs and the town centre. This property is one of only a few in Chamonix that can boast such a feature. By foot, (walking with ski boots on)...... **1 minute walk to ski field that is used for beginners **2 minutes to nursery drag lift that takes you to Brevent lift. **5 minutes and you are ready to catch the main bubble lift up from Chamonix to the Brévent ski area. **2 minutes back to apartment from the black run decent from Brévent to Chamonix ** 20 seconds to ski bus stop for access to all other lifts and ski areas in the valley of Chamonix ** 4 minutes walk to town centre for supermarkets, bars, restaurants, clubs, cinemas **20 seconds to local bakers/cafe **2 minutes to Chamonix sports centre for swimming, ice skating, gym, sauna, and lots more activities....
Summer in Chamonix
When the snow has melted, Chamonix still has plenty of activities to offer, from mountaineering to white water rafting as well as more general sports and leisure activities such as tennis and squash, horse riding, bowling, swimming and fitness. The car-free centre of town is full of atmosphere and very cosmopolitan, with cobbled streets and squares, beautiful old buildings built around a fast-running glacial river. The atmosphere is lively and bustling with a good variety of shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. For trekking and hiking, the Chamonix valley has the most comprehensive and clearly indicated network of mountain paths in the Haute-Savoie. There are over 350km of marked paths along the valley leading up to the glaciers. Chamonix has a wealth of mountain biking opportunities for all ages and abilities. All the cable car systems run in the summer, giving opportunities for downhilling as well as numerous cross-country trails up and down the valley.
Aprés Ski in Chamonix
Chamonix's reputation as one of the liveliest apres-ski resorts in the Alps is justly deserved. With numerous bars, and even its own micro-brewery, you will find somewhere to cover every taste. Live music kicks off around 4pm in several venues, notably Chambre Neuf, MBC and South Bar, most days in the winter, but there are plenty of quiet and cosy meeting spots for a vin chaud and a chat. As the early evenings pass into night-time, you can carry on partying until 4am or later in several nightclubs around town. On several nights of the year, all night licences mean you are likely to still be out at sunrise, especially during the summer months. Many bars offer great food menus, but there is a huge selection of excellent restaurants as well, up to the Michelin-starred Albert Premier. Whether it be traditional French, Savoyarde, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Korean or just modern cuisine, Chamonix has it all.
Other Activities Shopping, sightseeing, ultra trail running.
Skiing Information:
Skiing Information: Chamonix provides skiing for all abilities with nursery slopes at Les Planards and Les Chosalets, however it is ideal for the intermediate and advanced skier. The intermediate runs will provide excellent groomed pistes, trails and mogul fields. For the expert skier there is limitless off piste skiing and some of the steepest and most challenging runs in the Alps including the awe-inspiring run down the Vallee Blanche with mountain guide. The apartment is located within a minute or two walk from the nursery slopes, and main bubble cable car, at Brévent.
Golf Information:
The golf course in the Chamonix valley has a high standard with excellent facilities. It is situated next to the village of Les Praz. Constructed in 1934, originally with 4 holes, it was officially opened on the 20 July 1935 with 9 holes completed. It was only in 1972 the council decided on a further 9 holes. So 10 years later, on the 26 September 1982 it was relaunched with 18 holes. A technical course designed by the prestigious architect Robert Trent Jones Senior, who knew how to make the most of the environment. The course is notable for the its numerous obstacles and raised greens. There is a driving range of 29 bays of which 14 are covered, 2 training greens and 2 bunkers. Course open every day, reservations 24 hours in advance. GOLF DE CHAMONIX Route du Golf, Les Praz, 74400 Chamonix Mont-Blanc. Tel : +33(0)450530628

The place was fab many thanks, very comfy and great location next to lifts and bars. Great views.
Lovely apartment, thanks for organising a cot and high chair for us.
Transfer was seem-less, ski hire people were just great - thanks for the recommendations, and to buy and pick up our passes saving time especially with all the children chomping at the bit really helped.
Thanks for putting the match on in your bar, and thank your bar staff for the restaurant tips too
Thanks for booking ski school for us, it was so easy being located just out the back. It was cool that they picked us up when we didn't ski here.
It is so comforting to know that you are in Chamonix, it was so easy for us to get started.
Thank you so much for your quick response to my problem with the car. I ultimately took it to the Renault dealer in Les Houches. But to have someone show up in 20 minutes to help with a problem that a client has encountered is wonderful. You guys are OUTSTANDING!!!!
