Nearby beaches:
The sandy beach at Tolo is at 5km (approx. 10min by car). There are sun beds and umbrellas for rent, as well as various water sports activity. Other beaches nearby are 'Kastraki', behind Ancient Asini and 'Plaka' at Drepano. They have pebbles, are not so commercialized, and more popular by the Greeks. Or go a bit further, following the coast line and find more secluded beaches at Vivari, Condili, Candia, and Iria. It is possible to rent a small motor boat in Tolo and go by boat to the little islands just before the coast with their small private beaches.
Sightseeing:
Famous archaeological sites to visit at the Peloponese: Tyrinth, (15min by car), Epidavros, Myceane (45min by car), Olympia (2,5 hours), Sparti and Mystras (2,5 hours), Ancient Corinth (1,5 hours). Athens (Acropolis, National Museum) is about 2 hours driving, and Delphi 4 hours whilst crossing the Corinth Canal, or taking the new spectacular bridge. If you don't like to drive, there are organised excursions by bus from Tolo, with professional english guiding. Or take one of the daily cruises from Tolo to the islands of Spetses, Hydra and Poros in the Saronic Gulf.
