The property is accessed through the manicured grounds of the 5* Gleneagles Hotel & Resort. The surrounding Perthshire countryside is magnificent. Activities including golf, swimming, falconry, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, spa, gym and mountain biking are a stone's throw away. There are places to eat to suit all tastes (including Andrew Fairlie's Michelin starred restaurant). The cottage is freshly decorated in a contemporary style. It is set in lovely grounds with a dining area outside the back door. The recently fitted kitchen has a Neff double oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment & washing machine. The living area benefits from a flat screen TV with freeview. The bathroom has a bath & electric shower. There are 2 bedrooms; 1 with a double bed and the other with two single beds. There is a golf store. Private parking. The property is ideally situated for exploring Scotland. Glasgow, Edinburgh, St Andrew's ('the home of golf') & Carnoustie are an hour's drive.

The cottage is an excellent base from which to explore Scotland's wonderful scenery, castles, historic monuments, whisky distilleries, golf courses, theatres, towns and villages. Edinburgh (Scotland's historic capital and home to the Scottish Parliament) famous for its annual arts festival; Glasgow (City of Architecture and Design 1999) a must for shop lovers and art lovers; St Andrew's(home of golf) perched above the spectacular West Sands (the beach in Chariots of Fire) Carnoustie (Open Championship 2007) are all an hour away by car. Glasgow and Edinburgh have international airports. Gleneagles railway station provides rail links to both these cities and the South of England and North of Scotland. Local and inter city bus routes are within walking distance. The charming town of Auchterarder (the Lang Toon)is within walking distance and provides a fine range of shops, delicatessens, cafes & restaurants. The attractions of the county towns of Perth and Stirling are 20 minutes away.

Notes to the rental rates

The letting period is from 15.00 hours on the day of arrival until 11.00 hours on the day of departure. A deposit of 50% of the rental charge is due within 7days of booking the property. The remaining 50% is due 10 days prior to the arrival date. In the event of cancellation of a booking the deposit will only be refunded if the property is re-let for the period. In any event 10% of the total cost will be retained to cover administration costs. Changeover day is flexible. Weekend / midweek stays may be available-please contact the owner. The owner may be able to arrange accommodation nearby for additional guests. Only those persons indicated at the time of booking (or subsequently to the owner) may occupy the accommodation.

Reservations for dinner at Michelin starred Restaurant Andrew Fairlie; Strathearn Restaurant at Gleneagles or any of the restaurants in the area can be made (although as much notice as possible should be given).
Bookings can also be made for spa treatments, clay pigeon shooting, off road driving etc.
