A luxurious, private, individual villa with superb views and pool

This unique self-catering villa has just about everything you could wish for. It is spacious, beautifully furnished, superbly equipped and luxurious in ambiance. The private, secluded pool is heated during the winter months. Situated in an elevated position it has spectacular sea views and is away from noise and bustle, yet remains conveniently close to all essential amenities in the charming, friendly town of Callao Salvaje. An iron gate and high walls make it a safe place to bring children and its proximity to the island’s major road network makes exploring easy. Mobile internet access means you can stay in touch with home or the office from your laptop, and a plasma screen satellite TV can keep you up to date with your favourite programmes. A deep, shaded balcony with plenty of room for comfortable seating and gently swinging hammocks is the perfect place to relax with a drink before dinner after a day in the sun or exploring the island.

The regional capital of Adeje is just a 10 min drive and the tourist resorts of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos are a short journey by car. Callao Salvaje is on the major road network so travelling is easy. The local beach is a 15 minute walk away and is a mixture of sand and pebbles. Beautiful sandy beaches with good facilities (toilets/changing/restaurants etc) are within easy driving distance, 10 - 20min. Descriptions, pictures and locations of numerous beaches are at the villa. Close by (within 20min drive max) are watersports, gyms, purpose built lidos and fun things for kids to do such as the aquapark and other theme parks, go karting, bowling and camel riding. Golf Costa Adeje is 5 miles away, and several other excellent golf courses not much further. Details are at the villa. I recommend car hire to get the most from your holiday, but excellent bars and restaurants to suit every age, taste and budget, shops, banks, a chemist and a doctor are a 10min walk.

Notes to the rental rates

  • For any rentals longer than 2 weeks, or if the villa is free and you would like to rent it out at very short notice, please contact me for discussion about a possible discount. Changeover days are generally Fridays. If you would like your stay to be different from the standard week(s) then please ask as this may be possible depending on other bookings. I require a deposit of £150 or 200 euros to secure your booking. Payment may be made by bank transfer. The balance of your payment is due 8 weeks prior to departure, or on booking if less than 8 weeks before the rental commences. I want other guests to enjoy the villa as much as you do. For this reason, I ask that you a pay a damage deposit of £400 with the balance of the rental to cover any significant accidents. The deposit will be refunded as soon as the villa has been inspected.
  • The villa is available from 2pm on the day of arrival. I usually ask that you vacate the property by 10am on the morning of departure. Alternative timings may be available, depending on whether the villa is booked on the day(s) of your arrival and departure. Please contact me if you would like to enquire whether alternative arrangements are available.

  • All bedroom have fans, double doors leading out into a shaded area by the pool, bedside tables with lights, and plenty of storage space. The twin beds in bedrooms 1 and 2 can be easily pushed together if preferred. Bedroom 1 has a TV, a hairdryer and a dressing room. Put-me-up beds are available on request at a modest extra charge. Just ask if you need a cot. All linen is provided. It is changed weekly as a matter of course, but can be done more often on request and at a small extra charge.

Notes:

The upstairs living area is spacious and open plan. There are floor to ceiling windows with adjustable slatted blinds to control the amount of sun entering the room. The plasma screen satellite TV receives Sky and UK terrestrial channels. Books, DVDs, Cd's and popular games have been provided for your additional entertainment. There are 3 sets of double doors here opening onto a deep, shaded veranda with comfortable seating and hammocks. Stairs lead to the lower floor (bedrooms, pool and garage) both inside and out. The pool area is secluded and surrounded by plenty of sunbathing terrace. The pool is heated in winter and there are some floating beds for you to enjoy. A shaded patio has space for the outside table and chairs (stored away when not needed). Small garden areas add a tropical feel. The BBQ is gas & easy to use. There are superb sea and town views from both floors. There is a dishwasher, and a washing machine, iron and ironing board are in the utility room.

Welcome pack

I provide a welcome pack containing some essentials that you might need before you have a chance to get to the shops. The nearest supermarket is a short walk and open long hours, but some flights land at pretty antisocial times.

Useful information

There are useful telephone numbers provided in a booklet at the villa, as well as information about shops, good places to eat, and activities available locally and throughout the island with descriptions, locations and contact numbers. Help is available 24 hours if you have any problems or need advice. A Mother care pushchair is available for those of you with young children.

More details

The pool is heated to 28 degrees between November and the end of April. If you would like the heating to be turned on at other times of the year then an extra £40 will be levied. If you would like to know anything else about the property or its environs then please feel free to contact me. I have lots more photographs of the house which I can easily e mail to you. It is impossible to answer every question on this website and there may be something specific you need to know that could make a huge difference to the quality of your stay. I love the villa because of it's comfortable open plan space, fantastic view, secluded pool area, peacefulness and easy access to both local amenities and island activities. If these are the sort of things you like then you'll love it too. If you are sun worshipers, it may interest you to know that Callao Salvaje has statistically more hours of sunshine than anywhere else on the island!!

Other Activities Lots of fun things for children, whale watching, hang gliding, hiking, designer shopping, architecture, churches, fiestas and much more.

Golf Information:

The villa is within easy driving distance of several superb golf courses, a couple of them international. The nearest (just 5 miles away) is Golf Costa Adeje - a 27 hole course designed by Pepe Gancedo with wide greens and obstacles such as lakes and gorges. Other designers include Seve Ballesteros (Buenavista Golf) and Maria Olazabal's company Integral Golf Design (Centro de Golf Los Palos). Full details of all the courses including locations, photographs, booking details etc are in a folder at the villa or can be found on the Internet.
