Marbella’s old centre is a centre of activity day and night, with the maze of streets hiding many boutiques and gems of local cuisine.

Of course, I will not take you long to discover the beaches. With over 26km of fine golden sand right on the doorstep of your Marbella rental villa, there is plenty to choose from. To reach the beaches, the promenade, La Alameda, is one of the nicest in the whole of Spain, still largely free of tourist style tat shops, instead lined by excellent restaurants serving all kinds of delicacies.

The Costa del Sol is sometimes referred to as the Costa del Golf, and anyone who has taken a Marbella villa or rental apartment before will know why. There are a much number of top class golf courses all along the coastline, many designed by world class golfers, meaning you can certainly get a few rounds on challenging, scenic courses during your stay in a Marbella property. Golf is not the only sport on offer though; some of the best facilities along the coast for tennis, horse riding (in the mountains), mountain biking, paragliding, sailing and almost every water sport can be found in Marbella, Spain.

Taking a private holiday rental in Marbella gives you the opportunity to enjoy the nightlife too. There are numerous pubs, bars and lively nightclubs to enjoy, and there is even a large casino.

If you would like to get away from the bustle which surrounds your Marbella apartment, the Sierra Bermeja Mountains rise up behind the town, offering the perfect place to relax, exploring the mountains in a 4x4 or on foot. Either way, you will be treated to some stunning views of the coast, over both Marbella and Puerto Banus, the luxury resort of the rich and famous where multi-million pound yachts are left in the harbour whilst their owners enjoy the excellent nightlife.
