2 Bedroom, self contained villa, with walled front and rear patios and roof terrace. The rear access provides a pathway that leads directly to the sandy beach, just 10 minutes walk away. Lendinuso is a typical Italian holiday village and boasts one of the best bakeries in the area. There is also a general store, butcher and of course bars etc. 3.5km from Casalabate, another Italian holiday village. 5km from Torchiarolo, 15km from Lecce, the Florence of the South. Close to Ostuni, the White City. Further afield Otranto and Gallipoli. Ideal base for touring Salento Region or for simply relaxing! Torchiarolo is close by and has supermarkets, butchers, fishmongers, greengrocers, post office, bank and hairdressers. Lecce, the Florence of the South is just 15km away. The historic centres of Ostuni, San Vito dei Normanni, Cisternino, Ceglie and others are all within an easy drive. Otranto and the southern tip make a wonderful day trip, as does Galipoli. Large hypermarkets close by.

Really great villa - we would definitely recommend

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Emy and would definitely recommend it.
The villa was very clean and well maintained. If anything, it looks even nicer in real life than on the photos, which is unusual!
The people looking after the rental and the owners were all extremely kind and helpful. The information booklet in the villa recommending everything from days out to restaurants and local supermarkets is superb - even better than Lonely Planet!
We have got young children, which is why we chose a villa without pool, but this is so close to the beach so not a problem. We had a rental car with us and I think you'd need this, as I don't think you'd find enough to do within walking distance. As it was, we went fairly far afield around Puglia and visited different towns and beaches. This is a self-catering villa with a difference as there is the Puglia Chef service available. There is a menu in the villa and a phone number to ring for a fabulous (3 course, if you're greedy like us!) local freshly prepared Italian meal delivered to your door in time for dinner! Now that's what I call a holiday!
This was our first time in Puglia, but we would definitely return. It is not at all touristy, but where Italians go on holiday. Parts of it are run down and seem quite poor, but I would much rather that than over developed and touristy.

I stayed at Villa Emy mid June with my daughter and 1 year old grandson. Our reception was well organsied and the 'welcome' basket of provisions extremely generous. Villa Emy was very comfortable, well equipped and furnished to a high standard. The gardens were an added bonus providing welcome shade in the middle of the day. Lendinuso was quiet but had everything for a seaside holiday. We enjoyed driving up and down the coast to visit other towns and villages. We found the people very welcoming both in the village and in the local shops.The patisserie baked every day and the little apple pies, a local speciality, must be tried. Our hosts could not have been more helpful. We thoroughly recommend Villa Emy.

Peaceful getaway

We just loved our stay at Villa Emy in Lendinuso. It was all that we expected and a bit more. We wanted to have a calm, peaceful holiday and that is what we got. The house is comfortable and clean. The kitchen good for cooking and the garden in the back is a perfect place to eat, weather it is breakfast, lunch or dinner. The local bakery provided us with fresh bread and the local butcher had the meat for the barbeque. When we were there, we were also able to buy fresh vegetables from a local farmer that parked her car right outside the bakery in the mornings.
The beach were not too crowded and the water warm and nice. Many people were kite surfing and windsurfing but we just enjoyed to watch.
We will definitely come back some day.

Villa Emy provides excellent value for money. The clean, well maintained accomodation is comfortable and spacious and there are many positive features including:
* Front and rear courtyards, the latter featuring an attractive fig tree
* Easy walking distance to the beach and local shops, including a good bakery.
* A well equipped kitchen
* Quiet location
* A DVD player with selection of English DVD's
* Very helpful English owners

A car is highly desirable to access local attractions such as Lecce, Otranto, Gallipoli & trulli country.
Owner's Response: We're pleased that our visitors enjoyed their holiday at Villa Emy. Since their visit air-conditioning has now been installed in the villa, adding to the villa features!
