Situated 30 minutes from Faro Airport and 8 km from the A2 exit which is 2 hours away from Lisbon. Despite its proximity to Albufeira, one of the liveliest tourist centres of southern Portugal with its Marina and its numerous entertainment spots, the Herdade dos Salgados is a serene refuge, from which, at the same time, everything that the Algarve has to offer can be accessed.

We stopped in the apartment for 2 weeks in April 09, we found it very clean and an excellent place to stay. The complex itself was of a very high standard, which security partoling the grounds 24/7 so you always feel safe and secure.
There are 7 pools to choose from including an indoor pool, at the time of year we went there were not many people there so pretty much had the run of the place ourselves which we very much preferred
The beach is within a short distance to the appartment, and there is also free use of the exclusive health club/gym next door
All facilities including shops and resturants are within walking distance but I would recommend a car if you wish to go further a field
All in all a very lovely quiet relaxing holiday
Recommended for:  Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
