If you are looking for the perfect vacation, this is it! My husband and I decided to treat our son and daughter to a special vacation in Portugal and my daughter's friend joined us as well. We flew into Lisbon, rented a van and drove down in less than 2 hours. The vila was beyond our expectations! The cleanliness, quality and location were incredible. The master bedroom suite had its own balcony and full bath, our son had his own bedroom and bath and the two girls had their own bedrooms and shared a bath. My husband and I had our privacy and the kids had their's. These were the most luxurious accomodations we have ever had the pleasure of staying in! We did a lot of sightseeing up and down the coast of Algarve. Everyday we visited a different beach or sight and it was always wonderful to come back to the vila to relax. We also had some days where we just stayed home and enjoyed the pool and sun. Albufeira with all its tourists, restaurants, shops and nightlife was only 10 to15 minutes away. The owner had given many suggestions of restaurants to try and places to see. Our favorite dinner though was frango de Guia (take out grilled chicken that is out of this world!) with fries like you've never had in the States. We came back from this vacation truely rejuvenated! We are looking forward to going back soon, maybe 2010!

Little piece of Heaven

I have stayed at Vila Santo Antonio several times, with my family as well as just with my husband alone. Either way it's always been a heavenly experience. It is a beautiful home centrally located in the famous sunny Algarve region of Portugal. We love the fact that while the house is located in the tranquil countryside, we are just minutes from beautiful beaches, shopping and the vibrant nightlife of nearby Albufeira. You can be in peace and seclusion as easily as you can be the middle of all the action. Since Algarve doesn't get much rainfall, the weather is always nearly perfect, although a bit breezy at times. The people are friendly and the food is delicious, especially the barbequed chicken from Guia! That's the first thing we pick up when we get there (frango da Guia at D. Teodosio Restaurant). One of the best moments is having our breakfast on the outdoor covered terrace at poolside enjoying the tranquility of the morning. Vila Santo Antonio is truly a pleasure. The owner, Maria - also speaks fluent english, is very helpful with recommendations and does her best to ensure that her guests are happy with the accommodations. You'll definitely want to keep going back!

In dieser Villa ist das Wort: Traumurlaub!!! wirklich angebracht. In dem liebevoll eingerichteten Domizil fehlt es an nichts. Alles ist sehr sauber, gepflegt und großzügig ausgestattet: angefangen vom Besteck bis zu den Liegen am herrlichen Pool. Man kann dort die Ruhe genießen, oder eine der zahlreichen typischen Strandbuchten der Algarve besuchen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen, oder auch nette Märkte in der Umgebung. Das Wetter an der Algarve ist auch im Juli optimal: Immer Sonne aber auch immer ein angenehmer Wind. Wir haben uns dort sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt, auch Dank der sehr gastfreundlichen und immer hilfsbereiten Besitzerin Maria. Wir möchten auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.
