The Country House Acquaviva is situated on the Marche hills (435 m), with vineyards, olive trees, fruit trees. Though isolated it is only five minutes walking from the centre of Loro Piceno, a medieval village famous for its'vino cotto' a delicious sweet wine. Distance 35km from the Adriatic sea and the Appennines in a southern position overlooking the Sibillini range which you can enjoy while sunbathing or swimming in the pool ( with spillway 9x5 1.40 deep ,a space for children and 4 hydro massages). Next to the pool there is a green area in the shadow with sunbeds where to read and talk after bathing. On the same floor of the pool there is a room with professional fitness tools (tapis r., cyclette, step ).The property has three self-catering apartments , SIBILLA, APPENNINO and LA PRIORA. The owner, Peppino, lives upstairs together with his two sisters (Maresa and Luigina). They run the farm and they grow their own vegetables, fruit and make their own wine free for the guests.

Apartment Appennino : for 4 people , two bedrooms with air conditioning and private service , large dining-sitting room , fully equipped kitchen with fireplace, balcony 16.m x 2.50 which on the east side extends for other 30. square metres, this area is provided with a lawn swing, table and chairs.. The long balcony looks down to the pool. TV Sat in each room and connection for your computer. You can also share the porch with the other guests of the Sibilla apartment where there are two tables with 8 seats each. External parking area Both the Appennino and the apartment Sibilla are on the same floor , but they have two autonomous entrances . If both apartments are booked together there will be a further reduction of 10%, for further two beds 30 euros per night.

The village of Loro Piceno is famous for its restaurants and the summer festival for 'vino cotto'. In the surrounding areas: the Archaeological park in Urbisaglia (5 km); Nature Reserve in Abbadia di Fiastra for trekking, nice walks, riding lessons, and golf (8 km); In the summer evenings all the near medieval villages organize music, cultural, food and wine events. festivals. (Important towns:Recanati, Macerata, S. Severino, Treia,Tolentino, Fermo, Fabriano, ecc). In July and August the opera season in Macerata, in the famous open air theatre Sferisterio, is one of the most important cultural events of the area.There is also a summer season with classical comedies and tragedies in the open air theatre in the Archeological site in Urbisaglia. The owners will be very pleased to suggest you all the events offered by the local villages and towns; package trips can be organized with a tourist guide.     The heating supply in winter is charged accoridng to the actual consumption.
    For the weekly change of linen and towels 10 €.
    For a further bed the rates are as follows:18 € in the middle season and 25 € in the high season.
    Further beds for children till the age of 8: reduction of 50%
    On request it is possibile to book free beds for children till the age of 3.
    For stays of 4 or 5 nights: reduction of 5% each day less than the weekly rate . ( during the high season we offer only weekly accommodation)
    For stays longer than one week in the low and middle season : reduction of 30&% for each week or a fraction after the first one.
  • A deposit of 30% is required .
    IF you cancel 45 days before the beginning of yoyr holiday 50% of your deposit will be refunded., if you cancel within 30 days the beginning of your holiday the whole deposit will be kept.

You can also have parties and dances there.. The owner, Peppino, lives upstairs together with his two sisters (Maresa and Luigina). They run the farm and they grow their own vegetables and fruit which you will taste enjoying their freshness. They will welcome you personally, but you will be independent from the manor house. The owner is willing to accompany on guided tours on request and on previous agreement (max.5 people). If you are in a party of 7, and you want more privacy, the apartment can be booked with the Sibilla apartment and you can have a reduction of 10%. Washing machine in common with the other guests. Property offers: Vouchers with 50% discount for riding lessons and golf. Cooking lessons to prepare the most typical dishes of the region Marche.

Property has been recently refurbished and is very spacious, clean and new. Situated at the edge of Loro Piceno, it has stunning views across open countryside towards the Sibilline Mountains, which from Autumn onwards are snow-capped. All amenities within about 10 mins walk: supermarket, bakers, butcher, bank, etc, but the walk is up a steep hill to start with. Restaurants nearby, but Taverna Loro is particularly recommended. Plenty of exploring to do in the region with wonderful little medieval towns and villages on the hills. Or a trip to the seaside which would take approx 30 mins drive. Roads are good and wide even in the hilly/mountainous areas. The owner is very welcoming and happy to oblige. Guests are free to help themselves to fruit and vegetables (all organically grown) from their extensive garden. We were lucky enough to experience the grape harvest and wine making process which the owner carries out each year. We found everyone we met very friendly and helpful. We flew Ryanair to Ancona (approx 1 hr 10 mins drive) and hired a car. Although the owner would have been happy to give us lifts if we had needed, we would recommend having own transport. Don't forget to try the vino cotto (a red wine something like port) for which Loro Piceno is famous!

This was a very well equipped Villa with the owners living above who were both very helpful and charming. The surrounding area is beautiful and the villa has a fantastic view of the country side, which can be views from the pool which has an eternity edge. The village centre is a 5mins walk and offers good bars and restaurants. I would recommend this Villa for a very Italian experience of good food, friendly people and outstanding natural beauty.

Wir waren schon oft in Italien in unterschiedlichen Regionen, Häusern oder Wohnungen und trotzdem wird dieser Urlaub für uns etwas Besonders bleiben:
Schon vor unserer Ankunft zeigte sich unser Vermieter als äußerst hilfsbereit und beantwortete alle Mails umgehend.
Das Haus befindet sich am Rande von Loro Piceno und es sind alle notwendigen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (kleiner Supermarkt, Bäcker, Apotheke.....) in unmittelbarer Nähe.
Für einen "Großeinkauf" kann man nach Macerata fahren - mit dem Auto ca. 20 Min. -, hier gibt es mittwochs auch einen großen Straßenmarkt für Klamotten usw.
Die Ferienwohnung ist mehr als großzügig bemessen und besonders die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man zum Kochen braucht. Beide Schlafzimmer haben eine Klimaanlage, Fernseher und Zugang zu einem Badezimmer. Vom Balkon hat man einen sensationellen Blick auf die Sibillinischen Berge. Hier steht ein Tisch zum Essen oder, wenn es zu heiß ist, gibt es eine eine zweite großzügige Sitzgelegenheit auf der überdachten Terrasse.
Der Poolbereich ist ebenfalls mit allem ausgestattet, was man zum Faulenzen braucht und im Schatten der Bäume gibt es Spielmöglichkeiten für die Kleinen. Alles ist gepflegt, sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet.
Das für uns einzigartige war jedoch unser Vermieter selbst:
Wir konnten uns aus seinem Garten mit Obst und Gemüse versorgen und auch von seinem selbstgemachten Wein haben wir des öfteren gekostet. Peppino spricht etwas Deutsch und seine Schwester sehr gut Englisch. Sie sind äußerst hilfsbereit und haben uns zu Events mitgenommen, die man als normaler Tourist nicht ohne weiters mitbekommt. Ein besonders Highlight war das von Peppino gekochte Abendessen für uns und unsere holländischen "Nachbarn" aus der kleineren Ferienwohnung.
Aber keine Angst ,,,, unsere Vermieter waren zwar sehr kontaktfreudig und weltoffen, respektierten jedoch auch jeder Zeit unsere Privatsphäre.
Was die Freizeitmöglichkeiten betrifft: Es sind ca. 30m bis zum Meer, Radfahren ist etwas anstrengend, wegen der Hitze (Juli) und den vielen Steigungen. Für Wanderer sind die Sibillinischen Berge sicherlich reizvoll: Man kann den Montevitorio besteigen (Anfahrt ca. 1Std., Parkplatz auf 1500m, Aufstieg ca. 2 1/2 Std. auf 2500m).
Uns hat dieser Urlaub Spaß gemacht und wir werden sicherlich nochmals unsere neuen "Freunde" in den Marken besuchen.
