The Jardines de Palomares development is a small exclusive secure complex with locked underground parking and store. Situated in the outskirts of the village which is currently being modernised but still has traditional shops and an English bar and restaurant around the new plaza. Ideal for holiday makers who want to get away from it all, this one bedroom new fully air conditioned first floor apartment sleeps up to 4 people includes a private patio and the use of 2 swimming pools. It is well positioned for places of interest, local markets, and good restaurants. 5 excellent golf courses including Desert Springs are within easy reach by car, a water park at Vera Playa and sea fishing at Villaricos. Close to Garrucha, Mojacar Playa and the Old Town and spectacular caves to explore at Cuevas del Almanzora. There is a mini Hollywood at Sorbas, 1 hr drive where spaghetti westerns were made. The area is served by International airports at Almeria 45 mins and Murcia San Javier 105 mins.

Have just returned from The Jardines de Palomares and have to say I was extremely happy with all aspects of my stay. The apartment is lovely, very clean, well equipped and located in a beautiful locked, gated garden with fab pool and is very secure and very safe. All the other residents were very friendly and myself and my 8 year old daughter made some great friends during out month long stay.

I flew into Murcia airport and it took under an hour and a half to drive to the apartment. The roads are very quiet and even for a novice at left hand driving - I found it to be remarkably easy!

We were located a ten min walk from the village of Palomares which has a good selection of bars and restaurants (all reasonably priced). The big supermarkets, water park and other villages/attractions are all only a very short, easy drive away. The location really is superbly central for exploring and I would especially recommend a visit to the picturesque mountain village of Mojacar.

The owners of the property were friendly and helpful and you will find everything as described!

5 out of 5 and I would definitely recommend this apartment and infact hope to return very soon!

From outset the owner is very friendly, very helpful and due to last minute arrangements extremely patient. The property advertised is just as it stated on the write up, lovely well kept gardens, immaculate pool, found it very quiet and other users extremely friendly.The small village has everything that you need, with beaches and supermarkets quite near.
I thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and would recommend it to friends and family.

Our holiday in this lovely apartment was one of the best we have had. We kept in regular touch with the owner before the holiday and she was very helpful combined with a very friendly attitude. The apartment itself was exactly as described, was very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The small complex was also very well looked after and the swimming pool was kept immaculate at all times. During the ten days of our holiday we did not experience any rowdiness or disturbances, just a lovely relaxing atmosphere.
We did quite a lot of travelling around during our stay and the surrounding districts are well worth a visit - Mojacar Pueblo and Playa especially so. You have a good choice of local markets too - we had a different one to chose from every day of the week in various locations.
Palomares itself is perfect for a relaxing holiday and "The Oasis" bar provides a really friendly atmosphere as well as a good variety of well-cooked food. Needless to say, we visited quite often!
The only thing we would do different next time is to travel to Almeria airport rather than Alicante. The car journey is only 45 minutes as opposed to 2 hrs 10 mins.
Summing up, If anyone is looking for a holiday on a clean, relaxing complex in a lovely area with the opportunity of travelling around to see different places, we would strongly recommend a stay at this particular villa.
