We have a very quiet property in the little village of St Barthélémy on the 'Blavet' river. Our location is central, so you can easy go quickly everywhere. Pretty beaches and bays, medieval towns and churches there is so much to see and so much to do...... In the region you can discover the rich inland sea of the Golfe du Morbihan with his 42 islands and islets, including the well-know 'île aux Moines, île d'Arz, île de Gavrinis Whether you're looking for exciting activities or a totally relaxing holiday, choose Southern Brittany. Close, easy to reach, but a world away. The climate here is mild and the countryside and pace of life remind you of times gone by.     The prices quoted are for the rental of the two 5 bedroom farmhouses at 'La Roseraie de Talnay', accommodating for maxi. 20 people and include bed linen (not towels) and electricity in high and peak season (300kw/week the balance is charged at cost). For two week bookings a mid stay change of bed linen is offered. You can also rental only 1 farmhouse if you want, each with 5 bedrooms. Please call or send a email for more info, see our website.

  • To hold a booking firm, a 25% deposit is required.

La Roseraie de Talnay: Is at the edge of a quiet hamlet on the outskirts of the village of St Barthelemy. St Barthelemy has a baker, mini supermarket, bars and creperie and is just a short bike ride or a 20 minute walk away. A 5 minute drive brings you to the market town of Baud where you can find supermarkets, shops, banks, chemists, restaurants and creperies. There is so much choice. You can buy delicious local produce at one of the many markets to eat at your own table, or eat at one of the many local restaurants that always offer excellent value menus.

Golf: La Roseraie de Talnay is an easy drive, literally, to four of Formule Golf's lovely, varied and well maintained golf courses in Southern Brittany. There's Le Val Queven - gently undulating, it mixes open spaces, water hazards and super views. Baden - set on an inlet of the inland sea of the Golfe du Morbihan. Ploemeur Ocean - the nearest thing to a links course on the southern Brittany coast and St Laurent - a championship style course. We can arrange your T times and passes that offer unlimited golf for 2 or more days. Ask us for a personalised quotation for short or long breaks for golfing groups which can include breakfast, evening meals and cleaning service, if required. We can adapt our services to suit you.

An idyllic location for a restful hoiday

We spent a very pleasant two weeks in L'Eglantier (30 May - 13 June 09). Excellent accommodation for group holidays, would recommend to friends. Good base for touring the area - lots of information brochures on local attractions provided by the owners.
Raf & Linda (owners) were most helpful and hostpitable-he's a great chef too!
I think that if we had to make a criticism it would be that we felt that the microwave cooker was not adequate for cooking for 10 people - and that the living area did not have adequate seating for 10. But those issues did not spoil our holiday!
Eating out can be expensive but there are still places that offer good Plat de Jour menus. We would recommend Au Rendez-Vous des Pecheurs in Pont Augan for real value for money. This restaurant also offers a very varied and interesting `a la carte menu which, although more costly still offers all round good value.
A memorable holiday!

Pure relaxation and enjoyment

Just returned from a great week staying at 'La Rose' in Talnay. The weather was just fantastic for early May and the 8 of us who shared the gite had a truly wonderful time.
Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area, or just laze in the garden/by the pool.
St Barthelemy is a small village within walking distance of the gite (though a very dark winding walk if returning after a drink or two late at night!) and the locals are very friendly. A couple of bars and a very nice pizzeria - take away available - are close enough to walk to.

The gite has all the facilities one might require and Linda and Raf (the owners) are lovely and very helpful. Wheelchair access is on the whole good and I can wholeheartedly recommend a stay in this beautiful part of France.
