Dar Atlantica is an original Berber fishermen house and has been tastefully renovated in the Moroccan style to give three spacious self-catering apartments. Each one has a spectacular view over the sandy beach with its traditional blue painted fishing boats and beyond down the coast of Africa. Each apartment has been equipped carefully to give you an easy and relaxed self-catering holiday. The delight of this village is its old fashioned atmosphere which mixes the true ethnic Africa with hints of Europe and the sixties, its quaint pathways, steps leading down to sea and the numerous restaurants and cafes. There are also shops, post-office, chemists and internet cafes. Regular buses or taxis to Agadir with the airport not far means more holiday time for you. A long-standing welcome to foreigners gives the village a specially cheerful and relaxed feeling. This is a truly romantic location as you sit watching the sun going down fanned by a gentle breeze from the Atlantic Ocean.

This newly renovated apartment on the 2nd floor has been tastefully decorated and offers an exceptionally well-equipped kitchen to give you an easy and comfortable self-catering holiday. The dining area has windows that fold completely back so that you are straight onto the balcony and the sitting-room has huge sliding windows with views directly over the sandy beach with its traditional blue painted fishing boats and beyond down the coast of Africa. There are two bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower-room. The second shower room is off the entrance hall. The special Tadlakt finish from Marrakesh has been used in both bathrooms and there are beautiful Moroccan tiles and traditional decoration throughout the property. The whole apartment is spacious and light with a beautiful zelliges table for eating round and a separate Moroccan style sitting area with an L-shaped canape with plenty of comfortable cushions and a marble coffee table.

Golf details: Royal Golf Club. The Agadir Royal Golf Club is a par 36 course 3,600 meters long with fairways perfumed by pines, eucalyptus and mimosa, fragrances that blend with the tang of the nearby ocean ... It is a delightful course, but you must beware of the trees and the very dense undergrowth. The greens are broad, well defended b deep bunkers and groups of palm trees that close of the angles. The number three hole is particularly challenging, its splendid 469 meters and par 5 requiring particular skill on the second shot, to overcome the impressive water hazard. After the game, players can meet and discuss their round in the panoramic club house, practically buried in a cascade of Bougainvillea area. Golf Les Dunes. Golf Club Med les Dunes is set on gently rolling land among eucalyptus trees. A 27 hole course situated on the outskirts of Agadir. It is a glorious site with the best architecture.

Super, relaxing location

The apartment is ideal for a relaxing holiday with a magnificent view of the beach and sea. We enjoyed watching the fishermen in their small boats coming in twice a day. The apartment faces due south and so was in full sun all day. It has been beautifully renovated and is well equipped, with lots of nice touches too.

All restaurants and shops in the village are a short walk away. The centre of Agadir is only a 25 minute drive away – we found our favourite restaurant here (Le Jazz).

We were made most welcome by Ros and were greatly impressed by the apartment and its location overlooking the sea. We have already booked a return visit.

Brilliant Apartment : Super Village

My wife and I rented this apartment for one week in late September. The apartment itself is very clean and has everything that you may need to be entirely self-sufficient during your stay. The view is AMAZING, and the living area is absolutely perfect for relaxing with a book while admiring the sea views.

We also fell in love with the village of Taghazout, which is super friendly and a real cultural experience. It is only 900 people, but has plenty of shops and restaurants. It also of course has everything you need for surfing (rentals, surf stores).

And the person who made our vacation super-simple was the brilliant and friendly apartment manager Mohammad. He met us at the airport, arranged our car hire, arranged our surfboard hire, gave us a tour of Agadir, and was always available if we had any questions about the area, customs, prices, etc.

Surf-wise the waves were small in September, but there were still enough different breaks to ensure that there was a variety of waves available (if they are not working in the village, drive up the coast to Tamri). Great variety too, learners, intermediate waves. Having a car is a must.

We will definitely be returning to Taghazout and hope to secure this apartment again.

Taghazoute is the perfect destination for those who want to discover cultural morocco but within their "tourist" comfort zone. We found it a great location to explore this area of morocco from and found the road network suprisingly good. Surfing - many great surf spots within a walk or short drive away. Get up early though to beat the wind as it picks up!! "SHEMS" was a great appartment. Clean and perfectly positioned. Thankyou Rosalind and Mohammed for all your help and personal attention. We had a fantastic holiday and will be returning in the autumn.

We had a great time in Taghazout. Definitely will go back.Sometimes in Oct/Nov - better surfing conditions.
Appartment is cosy, you can't beat the views, plenty of beaches around, Agadir around the corner. Excellent value for money.

Taghazout Getaway

We had a really great time in Taghazout. The apartment was great too. It was roomy, very clean and felt good to be in. We really enjoyed the well equipped kitchen and spending time in the tastefully decorated sitting area. But the best part was the amazing ocean view. We spent many hours just staring at the seagulls, the surfers and the fishermen. The town of Taghazout is pleasant and very laid back. It has most of the things you need including grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies, surf shops, etc. If you can't find what you need in Taghazout, Agadir is about a half an hours drive away and there is also frequent public transportation. By the end of our stay, Ros was more like a friend than the person we rented the apartment from. Hopefully we will be back in Taghazout someday to watch another amazing Moroccan sunset.
