One of Tortola's most elegant & gracious homes, Quantock House sits on nearly 2 acres on Tortola's lush northwest side overlooking Brewer's Bay. The property boasts some of the most spectacular landscaping in the islands. An electronic gate ushers guests into the palm-lined driveway and a covered parking area.
Built on 2 levels, the main floor offers the rich Great Room (with gracious West Indian verandah), formal dining area, and an office with powder room. Handcrafted mahogany windows & sliding pocket doors open Quantock's Great Room to the gardens and beautiful sea views. Red tile floors are strewn with oriental rugs, with delightful attention to detail throughout.
On the main level's east wing is the Floral Suite, a beautifully-furnished and air-conditioned king master suite. The kitchen is detailed with custom mahogany cabinetry & blue tiling, with an alfresco dining patio (and gas grill) just outside. In the west wing, via a corridor dotted with original art, are the 2 air-conditioned Monkey & French Terra Cotta Suites, each with queen bed & ensuite bath. All 3 main-level suites are fully screened & enjoy private, vine-covered balconies overlooking the ocean.
Steps lead from the west wing downstairs to the swimming pool terrace and the private, a/c Elephant Suite with 2 queen beds, perfect for children & nanny. The pool terrace, with delightful hammock, is surrounded by mature, exotic gardens. Guests may opt to have the pool heated for $500 (requires advance notice & advance payment).
First class in every way, Quantock House is a classic island retreat. A complimentary simple cold supper, with a bottle of wine, is provided for your arrival night, along with light breakfast provisioning for the next morning.
NOTE: The Elephant Suite on the lower (pool) level of Quantock House has 2 queen beds, and as long as an adult is also occupying this room, 1-2 children up to 12 years old (9th & 10th guests) may also sleep in this bedroom suite at an additional cost of $50 per child, per night.
Please note: Christmas/New Years require a 10-night minimum and Thanksgiving rentals require a 7-night minimum.
