Photos and Description of this Abruzzo holiday apartment A self-catering apartment, sitting amidst the unspoilt countryside of Abruzzo

As you enter the grounds of Casa Bianca, you encounter an expansive and secluded courtyard, ideal to relax in and soak up the sights and sounds of a traditional farming community. The self-catering accommodation comprises of a spacious lounge, family bedroom, twin bedroom, bathroom, office area providing detailed tourist information, plus a well-equipped kitchen, which is modern and yet the log fire gives it a traditional feel. The 2 acre grounds also include a D.O.C. vineyard, olive grove and fruit orchards, from where you can admire spectacular views of both the Gran Sasso & Maiella mountain ranges. There is the possibility of fresh organic fruit and vegetables from the garden, and grape and olive picking.

We liaise with local and national estate agents, so if you tell us your requirements before your visit, we can suggest possible properties for you to view. We can email you photos and details and even visit properties, to check for suitability, saving you precious holiday time once you arrive. In addition, I can accompany you on viewings for translation and advice. Once you have found your dream home, it may be some time before you sign the final act. Property Management Services : Whether you're planning to buy and renovate a property, rent it out, or simply make best use of your precious holiday time, our professional Property Search and Management services can help take the hassle out of owning a property in Abruzzo. One of the features of Italian life is a surprising amount of bureaucracy, with payments of state, local, and refuse taxes required at the local post office, often accompanied by lengthy and impenetrable forms. Even simple procedures, like arranging for your telephone line to be connected, can take days or even weeks, and these can be difficult to arrange from abroad. With responsive communication by phone or email, a simple hourly charging structure, and regular written statements, we provide Italian levels of craftmanship with a British level of efficiency. Typical services that we provide include: Administrative services, Regular cleaning and Maintenance, Repairs and Renovations.

Ski: There are 17 ski resorts in Abruzzo and the slopes are said to be central Italy’s finest. The rich and diverse range of ski resorts are ideal for keen sportsmen, beginners and families. Snowboarding, snow rafting, tobogganing and dog-sledding can also be enjoyed here. Casa Bianca is around 1 hours drive from 4 different ski slopes, with more slopes slightly further away. In the Gran Sasso national park, Campo Imperatore is famous for the abundance of snow that provides breathtaking slopes, even in late spring. A cable car ride here is enjoyable even for non-skiers, to appreciate the magnificent views. Castel del Monte is paradise for cross-country skiers.

Golf: There is a golf course about 45 minutes drive away from the property. If you wish to use the course, but are lacking a golf partner, please let me know before your holiday. I can arrange for someone to collect you at Casa Bianca and accompany you to the course, play a round of golf with you and organise lunch. Please contact me for further details at my email address.

'Dear Tracey and Pete, Thank you very much for another wonderful week here at Casa Bianca. As you know this is our third stay in less than twelve months and we are hoping to visit again in October. Abruzzo is the Italy you hope to find.

We spent 5 weeks travelling around Italy and Abruzzo was one of the prettiest unspoilt areas we found - it is not over-commercialised and there is so much to see! Everyone was friendly, prepared to put up with our terrible attempts at Italian and we found lots of lovely food and wine, Casa Bianca was very clean and spacious and had everything you could possibly need - it was easily the best equipped apartment we stayed in. Tracey and Pete had all the local knowledge we needed and were not at all intrusive - even though we shared the building, we had all the privacy we needed. We spent days exploring all the nearby (and not so nearby) towns and took a wonderful drive up into the snow topped mountains that we will never forget. We couldn't stop taking photos for the whole week. Abruzzo rocks!

"We had an excellent stay. The house was very well equiped and very clean. We did not miss anything.
Tracey and Pete were very helpfull with everything and very friendly. We had a nice welcome-gift and everything was just perfect. We loved the fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden. The first time I picked a watermelon in my life!
The children just loved the place, especially Gilbert and the dog Stella.
Abruzzo was very beautifull. The people were extraordinary friendly and very helpful.
When we left, I received a plant from Tracey. The Aloe Vera is growing perfectly in Germany and every time I see the plant I remember a perfect and just lovely holiday.
Thanks a lot Tracey and Pete.
A lot of greetings from cold Germany

Glorious Abruzzo

Review Submitted: March 14, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2007
With our 2 very young children, we have stayed at Casa Bianca on 2 occasions while securing the purchase of our wonderful holiday home. The accommodation in Casa Bianca is of a very high standard, and the location is ideally situated to explore the mountains, towns and coast of this beautiful area.

Tracey, who has links with a reliable Abruzzo estate agent through whom we purchased our property, was so incredibly helpful in guiding us through the bureacracy of Italian property purchase: in her safe hands, we didn't encounter any problems, and it all seemed straightforward. And now she is providing an excellent property management service: totally flexible, reliable, and not expensive: it just takes away all those little worries that you inevitably have when you're not actually there. It is so useful when someone knows a trustworthy builder, plumber or carpenter. We consider ourselves so fortunate.

We find few people in the UK have even heard of Abruzzo, let alone know where it is in Italy! It is simply glorious, it is "real" Italy, still (thank goodness) undeveloped, un-touristy and cheap. If you have children, like us, they are loved and spoiled. Go to Abruzzo, and see for yourselves! Tracey and Pete will give you the warmest welcome.
