The chateau is a unique Perigordian style castle with 9 bedrooms & 5 bathrooms. It sits in 50 acres of private grounds on a hillside in the Lot Valley & has an L shaped heated pool with a dome topped jacuzzi to the south of the chateau. Beautiful gardens & grounds surround the chateau and the property even has a large indoor sports complex. All rentals include a cruise down the River Lot - a perfect way to enjoy the surrounding countryside.

The nearest town is Cahors (23km away), which is medieval in origin and lies on the banks of the River Lot. The town offers a variety of shops as well as historic buildings & bridges. Boat trips down the river run regularly and are a great way to explore the countryside. Other towns of interest include St Cirq La Popie, Gourdon, Puy L'Eveque (with its cheese) and Rocamadour. The chateau is in the heart of vineyard territory and many local vineyards can be visited and the wines sampled. Markets take place weekly in Luzech on Wednesday; Montcuq, on Sunday; and Praysacc on Friday offering an opportunity to soak up the atmosphere and purchase a variety of local produce. Sauzet (3km) has a bakery, a post office and a small general store. Additional shops, banking and pharmacy facilities can be found in Luzech (7K).
