Vida de Mar is a luxurious Caribbean beachfront villa with 5 air-conditioned bedrooms that can accommodate 2 to 10 with ease. Nestled in quiet Dever's Bay on the southwest shore of beautiful St. John, Vida de Mar is the perfect spot for a fabulous Virgin Islands vacation - secluded, yet just minutes from town, guests experience the best of both worlds.
The air-conditioned Great Room is furnished in stylish, comfortable island chic, with glass sliders opening to the pool on 1 side & a hot tub on the other. An armoired entertainment center features Cable TV, DVD, Stereo & CD player, along with assorted games, movies & books. Guests may enjoy air-conditioned dining in Vida de Mar's Great Room, or alfresco by candlelight under the stars. The villa's kitchen has many amenities to make cooking & dining a pleasure, including blender, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishwasher & trash compactor. If guests prefer, a private chef & daily maid service can be arranged (at supplemental cost).
Vida de Mar's 2 master suites have beautiful ocean views & private open-air garden showers. One is located just above the pool & the other is located in its own bungalow on the terrace beyond the Great Room. The villa also has 2 additional cottages comfortably accommodating extra guests: the Beach Cottage has 2 bedrooms off the beachside deck, amid the soothing sounds of the surf; and the Hibiscus Cottage (off the parking area) is a private apartment with kitchenette, TV & large sitting area. Each cottage likewise enjoys air conditioning for individual comfort & convenience.
An expansive deck surrounds the beautiful 36' x 14' pool & tiled whirlpool spa, and offers dramatic views of the ocean with its panoply of sailing yachts & passing cruise ships in the distance. The private 800' pebble beach (with hammock strung between 2 palm trees, Gilligan-style!) promises hours of relaxed sun-worshipping, swimming & exploring (in fact, some of the best diving & snorkeling on St. John is just offshore at Dever's Reef). Spectacular sunsets each evening only add to the long list of pleasures of Vida de Mar. Besides the pebble beach in front of the villa, the sandy beach at the Westin Resort (Great Cruz Bay) is 5 minutes away by car. The charming town of Cruz Bay, with shops, boutiques, restaurants, watersports & interisland ferries, is a mere 10-minute drive. Additionally, St John's world-renowned north shore National Park beaches are about 20 minutes away by car from Vida de Mar.
For friends traveling together, Vida de Mar is an easy walk to Sunset Beach (CT SUN), as both share the same driveway.
