Tucked into a cul-de-sac on St. Thomas's east end, and surrounded by lush, manicured landscaping, Great View is aptly named: from the front patio & pool deck, wonderful ocean views extend to Red Hook & St. John, amid cooling tradewinds.
This charming & elegant villa is conveniently laid out on 2 levels. A gated entryway leads up to Great View's main level, with a characteristic high-ceilinged Great Room & its 2 walls of glass sliders opening onto the view. On 1 end of the Great Room is the spacious kitchen & half bath, and adjoining is a den, which can be partitioned off to make a bedroom with a queen sofabed.
On the other side of the main level's Great Room are 3 bedrooms. The master suite leads to the 2nd & 3rd bedroom suites just beyond, and all 3 open to the pool & sundeck. The large pool area offers plenty of space for sunbathing or just enjoying the sublime ocean views; a wet bar with mini-fridge & icemaker completes this idyllic area.
On Great View's lower level, accessed via an exterior walkway, are 3 more bedrooms, each with satellite TV. One has a queen bed with ensuite bath, and the other 2 (1 with queen & 1 with 2 twins) share a bath. One of the queen bedrooms has a balcony with table & chairs overlooking the gardens. The lower level also has a lounge with pool table, large plasma TV (with plenty of movies) & a kitchenette with full refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, & toaster.
Great View is just a short drive from the Ritz-Carlton Club & Hotel as well as the excellent beaches at Secret Harbour & Cowpet Bay. The villa is also just a few minutes drive to Red Hook, with shopping, restaurants, watersports, day sails, and ferries to St. John & the British Virgin Islands.
NOTE: 1-6 guests have use of the Main Level only; 7+ guests may add use of the Lower Level. If your party is 6 persons or less (using the main level) you'll still have access to the pool table on the lower level BUT NO OTHER ROOMS (bedrooms, baths, kitchenette etc), otherwise you will be charged the additional rental rate. Please make sure everyone in your party is aware of this firm policy to avoid any misunderstanding.
There is a tenant in the apartment below the villa, with his own private entrance. He cannot see into any part of the villa, including the pool area, so your privacy is completely assured at Great View.
Please note: Thanksgiving rentals require a 7-night minimum.
