The Chateau des Vignerons offers excellent self-catering accommodation in France. The Château is situated within secure walled courtyards. The original building was damaged during the Vendeen war of 1793 but has now been fully restored. The present property took shape in 1830. The chateau can sleep up to 13 guests, the Coach House hosts 10 and the farm cottage can sleep 5. It is possible to rent the whole complex or the properties can be rented individually. On-site there is an impressive 12 x 6m (40’ x 20’) floodlit swimming pool, a paddling pool, a games room with pool table, table tennis, boules and badminton. The château has private and safe gardens. The Chateau des Vignerons is perfectly situated in the Loire Valley. Some of the finest French chateau in the Loire are found on your doorstep. The Loire, 'playground to the kings' also hosts the most impressive castles in France including: Cheverney, Chambord, Amboise, Chenonceau, Villandry (famous gardens), Azzay-le-Rideau (fantastic evening light shows), and Chaumont. Saumur, famous for the horse parade and the fantastic pink with the vineyards produce (best served with Oysters) is a few minutes down the road. There is also the superb market town of Doué la Fontaine 10 minutes down the road. It is also worth noting that the famous beaches of the Vendee are only a 2 hour drive if you fancy a day trip away from this holiday chateau let.
