The Swimming Pool at nearby Les Deux Mondes(new 2009) & Hotel Villa Damonte can be used for a small fee, and 20mins drive is a swimming pool at 'le calme'. There is now a internet cafe available nearby, if you are taking your own laptop, check your dongle providers charges and connection in Morocco. There are numerous, cheap, internet cafes in Essaouira. Wood can be purchased via our concierge if you require a log fire during the winter evenings, or collect driftwood on your travels.

fantastic holiday in Essaouria.

We would like you to know what a fantastic holiday we had in Essaouria. It was far better than I had ever dreamed it would be and Villa Tazmin delivered more than was promised. It is maintained immaculately,surrounded by lovely welcoming neighbours and there is all the information about the area/ restaurants/ entertainment that you could ever need... We can't speak more highly of the concierge and his polite and considerate manners. He organised a wonderfully delicious tajine cooked out the house, super horse riding (our 4 year old rode his first Arab stallion and talked about it for weeks afterwards!) and coming with us for a fab fish dinner at the market ,and of course showing us the secret beer store!!!! Our children (ages 4 and 1) had a fantastic time, putting out the donkeys in the morning, dune running, camp building, feeding our newly adopted dog and tortise (whome I'm sure are still there). We never had ANY fears for their safety or fears they would get bored. Thanks Martyn for organising everything, we have told ALL our friends they must go! Team Tarpey, April 2012.

The best 12 days

If you are seeking a 5* luxury hotel type holiday then read no further, however if you want to experience the real morocco this is the place for you.
I had the most wonderful 12 days, beautiful weather, lovely friendly people, "Villa Tazmin" is situated in a Berber village about 8km from Essaouria and has all the amenities you could wish for.
For me waking up to the muddled sounds of various farm yard animals, the beat of the wooden poles as they crack the nuts, innocent childhood laughter is intoxicating I love this place and will return.
