Luxury Ski Chalet only 35 minutes from Salzburg in Austria's most beautiful lake district. 2 Double bedrooms + 2 self contained suites. The suites have en suite bathrooms and each has it own balcony. The house has separate internal front doors to the ground floor and the two suites upstairs which means group members can have total privacy if and when they want it. The property is modern but built in the style of a typical Austrian Skiing Chalet. The floors are cherry wood and warm. Located in a private road with easy access to the main route in and out of Strobl. There is an amazing multimedia room in the basement with another TFT flat screen, this time 42', A state of the art games machine - Sony PS3, two dual core PC's with wide screens and games plus a Skype phone for free or cheap phone calls. There is wifi in the Chalet and another computer, portable, in the one of the top suites. The kids will love it.

A wonderful location for Skiing in the Winter or walking and bike riding in the summer. St. Wolfgang is less than 5 minutes from the Chalet with stunning views, boat trips and shops. Strobl is among the most famous holiday resorts in the Salzkammergut region and features almost all kinds of sports and leisure time facilities. The Postalm area (1,200-2,000m altitude) near Strobl is the largest mountain plateau in Austria (40 km²). In summer one can go on extensive hiking tours, in winter the ski center has 8 lifts, numerous downhill slopes and Nordic ski tracks at all levels of difficulty. Local Alpine golf courses are some of the most beautiful in the Alps. There is also balloon rides, paragliding, glider rides, motor biking, horse riding, fishing, swimming, sailing and mountain biking to be enjoyed in the summer, and snowboarding, snowshoe hiking, cross-country skiing, ice climbing, ice diving, zorbing, snow biking etc in the winter.

Golf: If you love Golf you'll love the local Salzkammergut Golf Club. The views are stunning, mountains, blue skies and clean fresh air. Now approaching its 70th Birthday the Salzkammergut Golf Club, is a mature course set in rolling parkland. Trees line the fairways and it makes excellent use of the natural contours of the land. The green keeping is of the highest standard with immaculate true running greens. The club has an excellent clubhouse with restaurant and pro shop. Next door to the course is the Franz Laimer Golf Training Centre, which has modern indoor and outdoor training facilities.

Christmas markets: There are wonderful Christmas markets in the area. Nothing looks more like a 'real' Christmas than the beautiful buildings in Strobl and St. Wolfgang covered in snow and market stalls dressed with lights. St. Wolfgang also has a permanent Christmas shop.

Salzburg: Salzburg is worth a trip to Austria on its own and if you stay in our Chalet it's less than 40 minutes away. The route is really simple and mostly on a single Motorway. It is the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the setting for parts of the musical and film The Sound of Music. Great shopping and food.
