Indochine is a gated & completely fenced estate on 3 acres, with breathtaking views over St John, Tortola & Jost Van Dyke. The courtyard leads up to the coralstone entrance. A large foyer, furnished with Asian antiques & West Indian pieces, is accented by mahogany floors. Just off the foyer is a spacious library/bedroom with Queen bed, full bath & Cybex electric exercise bike & Gravitron assisted weight pull-up machine.
On the other side of the foyer is the large living room, with low, cushioned settees & an armoire with flat-screen TV & DVD media system. Arched French doors open to a tile-roofed terrace. On the opposite wall, French doors lead to a sheltered alfresco garden lanai, with Balinese daybeds, ceiling fans, romantic lighting & rock gardens. An air-conditioned dining area for 8 adjoins the lanai & kitchen. The kitchen features chef-quality appliances including large, stainless-steel commercial refrigerator/freezer, butcher block chef's table, triple sinks, 8-burner Vulcan professional range (with double ovens & griddle top), KitchenAid mixer, & a wide variety of chef's tools.
A hallway off the living room accesses the 3 other bedroom suites, all done in sleek Indonesian style, with beds draped in white netting (& featuring all-organic mattresses). Asian antiques enhancing the zen feeling. The Queen suite has French doors opening to the east patio & the King suite opens to a green lawn as well as sea views. The Master suite (also a King bed) offers a dressing area with closets, large bath & exotic bamboo-lined alfresco shower. From here, French doors lead to a tiled patio, with a staircase descending to the pool & sun deck.
The pool deck, graced with a wind-sculpted tree, overlooks the panorama of islands, ocean & sky. A garden path leads to Indochine's meditation pavilion, a quiet & private place for savoring personal time. Indochine is a world apart, a completely private estate providing a sanctuary of serene relaxation & tranquility, yet only a 10-minute drive to world-renowned Magen's Bay Beach.
The talents of one of our excellent local chefs are included in the rental rates! The chef will cook & serve 5 meals/week (2 dinners & 3 breakfasts): guests usually prefer a buffet dinner for arrival evening, brunch the next day, and 1 more dinner (& 2 more breakfasts) during the week - you simply pay for groceries & beverages, and choose which meals you'd like the chef to prepare & serve (after-meal clean-up is also included). For extra meals, please add an additional $50 for each continental breakfast and $100 for each additional cooked breakfast, lunch, or dinner, plus the cost of your groceries.
NOTES: 7-night minimum year round (except 10-nts Xmas/New Years).
- Indochine's resident manager/caretaker resides in an apartment below the villa - he's on call to assist you with questions you may have during your stay, but does not interfere with your privacy.
