Villa with pool 4 bedrooms in countryside Sardinia

Set in the tranquil countryside ideal for walking. Il Frutteto is two newly renovated villas in one, completed at the end of 2007. It has a, tastefully designed lounge/diner 2 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms with a modern fitted kitchen. The villa is set in large private walled grounds with a large terrace area and pool. The pool is free standing 2.5 meters x 5 meters, just under 1 meter deep, ideal for keeping cool . There is a volley ball net along with other garden games. The BBQ is built from local stone and is alongside the large table, set under a vine covered pergola, ideal for evenings with family and friends. There are also fruit and olive trees in the garden for our guest to enjoy. A short walk brings you to the beautiful natural spring of St Antioco, set in shaded trees with picnic tables, park area and cascades of water. Here locals come to collect the spring water, this is a truly romantic setting. Sagama village is 5 minutes by car, with small supermarket and bars.

The romantic town of Bosa is 20 minutes by car. Here there are larger super markets, banks, individual shops, local bars and many wonderful traditional Italian restaurants. Bosa marina and beach are a few minutes drive from the town, offering a large sandy beach, water sports, restaurants and bars. The coast line boast of its unspoilt and spectacular beaches,fishing,diving and snorkelling is abundant is the crystal clear waters.The area is ranked 5 star in the Italian blue guide for beaches.There are many historic churches and villages with their romantic piazza but a car is essential to experience all of these and more.

  • CAR RENTALS; Car hire is essential due to the location of the property. We will gladly advise you of the better companies nearer the time. The nearest airport is Alghero which is approximately 1 hours drive.(we can give you directions) this is served by Stansted, East Midlands and John Lennon airports, where many bargain priced flights can be booked. Other airports include Obia (1hr 4o min) and Calgliari (2hrs) Air travel is approx 2.5 hours.

Notes:

Clean linen is provided on arrival with optional changes on request(chargeable). All guests are provided with 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel, these are not to be used for the beach and clients are requested to provide their own beach towels. The property is situated in its own private grounds. The villas are ground level, and are approx 5 meters apart. There is a pathway between them which is paved and well lit for night time. with lighting outside to both properties and on the path. The BBQ has been recently built with local stone and provides a large area to cook on, this is situated by the large outdoor table under the vines.Arrival time is after 4pm with departure 10.30am. If the villa is available earlier arrangements can be made nearer the time. There is always coffee, and sugar. (please bring your tea from England it is impossible to buy anything decent)

lovely Villa in beautiful Sardinia

Just got back from our stay at this Villa in Sardinia and wanted to pass on our comments to anyone thinking of staying here.

The Villa although split into two buildings was ideal for our holiday especially as we were two families together and split ourselves between the two villas. Both Villas were very clean, spacious and well equipped for our stay with modern appliances and comfy beds. The pool area was perfect for the children to cool off and splash around in and their was plenty of sun lounging furniture for the lazier adults. The badminton net was a nice addition as well as a couple of board games for the children when they needed to cool off. The large table became a special favorite for eating and chatting during our evening meals

The area surrounding the Villa is stunning. From the walking distance of the local Church and park of St Anticio to the local towns of Sagama and Tinnura and the backdrop of the mountains the setting is beautiful. Bosa is a lovely town with several nice places to eat and drink and to sit around the main square (Sardinians like watching the world go by) The beaches of Bosa Marina and around Cape Manu (Both within a 35 minute drive) are stunning and good seas for children to swim in with warm waters and clear seas. Also for anyone who has not been before Sardinian people are very friendly and accommodating.

You will definitely need a car to stay and explore the island. We hired a car from Alghero airport and is just over an hour although the windy roads take a little getting used to after the straight roads of the UK!

We will definitely think about returning to this Villa over the next few years and would recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting this magical island. (The pictures do not give justice to the Villa and surrounding area)

I feel that It is very important to make a holiday villa into a home for guests staying to use and enjoy, nothing gives me greater pleasure than knowing guests have had a fantastic holiday.
I will continue to add more to the villas ie toys,books for children and garden games for everyone, so keep the positive comments coming, it can only get better!
Gav ,Entorage and friends obvoiusly had a great time and I must admit the large table under to vines( seats 10- 12 people very comfortably) is a special place for sharing moments of fun with friends and family as well as romance under the stars.
Sardinia is a beautiful island, as well as the people,they are a very relaxed and happy population, but a car is an essential if you want to see and enjoy the island.
Lastly I would just like to say big thank you to Gav 's family and friends for a great review and look forward to your next booking
