Set in the tranquil countryside ideal for relaxing .Il Frutteto is a newly renovated villa, completed May 2008. The villa is in its own walled private grounds.It has 3 terraces to relax in, the largest of these being the patio and pool terrace. The garden has a lawn area ideal for net & ball games. The remaining area consists of fig and olive trees and two grape covered pergola for those hot sunny days, we hope are guests enjoy the summer fruits. The BBQ area is everyone's favorite. The BBQ is built from local stone and the very large vine covered dining area is adjacent to it, ideal for the romantic or for fun evenings with a bottle of wine,family and friends. A short walk from the villa brings you to the natural springs and park area of St Antioco, set in shaded woodlands and a tranquil picnic area, ideal for children. Sagama village is only 5 minutes by car this has a supermarket,bars and restaurant.Here there are many houses displaying beautiful paintings from local artists.

The north west coast of sardinia offers a mulititude of fasinating sights, medival towns, historical churches a very culteral destination. Many of the beaches on this romantic coast have a 5 star italian blue grade. The romantic town of Bosa set on the River Tempo, just a 20 minutes car ride from il fruetoo, here there are larger supermarkets, banks, local bars and wonderful italian resturants. The shops are high quality and fashionable and there are lots of beautiful places to sit and watch the italians enjoying life. The large sandy gentle shelving beach is at Bosa marina, a few minutes drive from the town.This resort has grown over recent years and is very lively in season offering beach bars,restuants, sunbed and umbrellas. There is a good choice of water sports, wind surfing,boat hire, kite surfing, boat and fishing trips. The tourist information office is located here and is well worth a visit . A golf course designed by Van Hagge is a 30 minute drive from the villa.

    Car hire is essential due to the location of the property. We will gladly advise you of the better companies nearer the time. The nearest airport is Alghero which is approximately 1 hours drive.(we can give you directions) this is served by Stansted, East Midlands and John Lennon airports, where many bargain priced flights can be booked. Other airports include Obia (1hr 4o min) and Calgliari (2hrs) Air travel is approx 2.5 hours.

    CLEANING AND LINEN:
    The above prices are calculated on 4 people staying at the villa, please add an extra £15 per extra person,
    the prices include bedding and hand and bath towels for showering.
    Beach towels are not provided.

  • We have designed the villa for large family groups and knew how important it was to have two bathrooms.They are newly fitted with modern design. There is a shower room in the main part of the villa comprising of shower,sink toilet,mirrored cabinet,towel storage and linen basket. The bathroom in the adjacent part of the villa has a bath with shower over it, basin, toilet, towel storage and cabinet for storage.

  • .we have tried to make the villa very comfortable and thought it was important to have 4 bedrooms. All beds have duvets with colour coordinating covers and towels. The villa works well with plenty of space and storage in each bedroom. Although the villa is advertised for 8 people there is a bed settee in the main part which could accommodate 2 more people. On arrival all the beds are freshly made up for you and each guest has 2 towels. Please refer to the above table for bedrooms details. In the main house there is 1 double bedroom with double bed, with a shower room with WC, basin and shower. in the 2nd building there are 3 further bedrooms and a bathroom. one bedroom with double bed, one bedroom with 2 singles and one bedroom with one single bed. there is an extra fold up bed suitable for children that can also be used.

Notes: We believe that luxury is an important part of a holiday and have equipped the villa to a good standard. The rooms all have a colour theme with tasteful and modern furnishing. The kitchen is newly fitted with plenty of modern units,large fridge(for chilled drinks),freezer,W machine and dishwasher - very important for a real relaxing holiday. There is a large dining table and chairs in the lounge area which seats 8 people, along with the two large sofas. The villa has a large garden and is sorrounded by pretty stonewalls making it very private and safe. The BBQ area is wonderfull, most of our guests use this all meal times. The pool is above ground 5.2 x 2.6 meters in size& 70cm deep, It is cleaned /checked every 5 days. The villa is cleaned thoroughly between lettings and on your arrival all beds are freshly made up with clean bedding and you will be provided with one hand towel and one bath towel per guest. Beach towels are available at an extra cost.

IL FRUTTETO VILLA: Il Frutteto was two houses but we have made it into one large villa to accommodate larger family groups. It is situated on a quiet lane which has a church,natural spring area, picnic area with a park for small children. The villa stands in its own private grounds and is only rented as one property to one client/party . The two buildings stand very close to each other in walled grounds,approx 5 meters apart. They are connected by a short well lit path. The main part which is adjacent to the BBQ and outside dining area consists of kitchen,bedroom with double bed, shower room, lounge /dining room. The second building has the main bathroom with bath,WC and sink, and 3 further bedrooms. 1 double bed,1 with 2 single ,1 with 2 singles. All bedrooms have plenty of storage space. The different terraces are divided between both buildings the swimming pool and lawn area are by the main building along with 2 large patios.There are books/ toys and a net for ball games in the garden.

SPRING,AUTUMN AND WINTER: Il frutteto as described above is two buildings and although we do not rent out of season, we do rent the main house spring,autumn and winter. The villa has a wood burner in the lounge with electric heaters in the rest of the villa. This villa comprises of kitchen, shower room double bedroom and lounge /dining room. It accommodates 2/4 people, the lounge has a bed settee that can be used. Some of the spring/winter days can be very sunny and there are plenty of walks on the door step. Bosa is stunning in the winter and everyone is always very welcoming. please see rentals rates.

lovely Villa in beautiful Sardinia

Just got back from our stay at this Villa in Sardinia and wanted to pass on our comments to anyone thinking of staying here.

The Villa although split into two buildings was ideal for our holiday especially as we were two families together and split ourselves between the two villas. Both Villas were very clean, spacious and well equipped for our stay with modern appliances and comfy beds. The pool area was perfect for the children to cool off and splash around in and their was plenty of sun lounging furniture for the lazier adults. The badminton net was a nice addition as well as a couple of board games for the children when they needed to cool off. The large table became a special favorite for eating and chatting during our evening meals

The area surrounding the Villa is stunning. From the walking distance of the local Church and park of St Anticio to the local towns of Sagama and Tinnura and the backdrop of the mountains the setting is beautiful. Bosa is a lovely town with several nice places to eat and drink and to sit around the main square (Sardinians like watching the world go by) The beaches of Bosa Marina and around Cape Manu (Both within a 35 minute drive) are stunning and good seas for children to swim in with warm waters and clear seas. Also for anyone who has not been before Sardinian people are very friendly and accommodating.

You will definitely need a car to stay and explore the island. We hired a car from Alghero airport and is just over an hour although the windy roads take a little getting used to after the straight roads of the UK!

We will definitely think about returning to this Villa over the next few years and would recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting this magical island. (The pictures do not give justice to the Villa and surrounding area)
Owner's Response: I feel that It is very important to make a holiday villa into a home for guests staying to use and enjoy, nothing gives me greater pleasure than knowing guests have had a fantastic holiday.
I will continue to add more to the villas ie toys,books for children and garden games for everyone, so keep the positive comments coming, it can only get better!
Gav ,Entorage and friends obvoiusly had a great time and I must admit the large table under to vines( seats 10- 12 people very comfortably) is a special place for sharing moments of fun with friends and family as well as romance under the stars.
Sardinia is a beautiful island, as well as the people,they are a very relaxed and happy population, but a car is an essential if you want to see and enjoy the island.
Lastly I would just like to say big thank you to Gav 's family and friends for a great review and look forward to your next booking

Peaceful Villa

The villa was well appointed in spacious grounds so the kids had the freedom to run around and make lots of noise. The villa is actually split into two with the main house being made up of the kitchen, bathroom, living/dining room and bedroom. The 2nd part is down a short path with 3 bedrooms and another bathroom (we'd recommend taking baby monitors for peace of mind on an evening for any age of child). The villa is quite a distance from any shops etc but as long as you have a car and don't mind some windy roads it's not a problem.

The villa is generally very quiet expect when the farmer is moving his herd of sheep, several hundred of them, all with bells around their necks!

There is no air conditioning but this isn't too problematic particularly at night as all the bedrooms have insect nets on the windows so you can sleep with them open without being eaten alive.

A few toys for the children would really have been appreciated as would a tv with a dvd player - although we didn't go away to watch the telly, during the heat of the day it would have been helpful to have an indoor distraction to keep the kids out of the sun and occupied.

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would recommend to other families with children wanting a quiet location.

What a lovely Villa, tastefully designed and well equipped.
We had a fantastic time, pool area was relaxing and we thoroughly enjoyed
the evening bar-b-que in a peaceful environment.

We enjoyed fetching the local spring water, which was only a two minuet walk
from the villa.

The local villages where picturesque and un spoilt, a pleasure to drive through on the road to Bosa.

Boisa Is a beautiful old town, there are lots of interesting shops and plenty of good restaurants, also Bosa marina has great water sports and beach bars.

We have already decided to return to the Villa next year.
