Beautiful Pelekas apartment near golf club

The property is situated at Pelekas, at a distance of c.a. 13 km,west-southwest of the city of Corfu. The drive towards the property from the airport of Corfu is about 15 minutes. Situated at the southeast of the village of Pelekas, near the main road leading from Pelekas to Glyfada, its an easy 8mins walk to the centre of the village which is home to some lovely family run shops and tavernas. The complex has it's own pool which is cleaned and maintained and also has a house keeping service. In the summer months, there is a free mini bus service to 2 beautiful sandy beaches, Glyfada and Pelekas beaches respectively and an all year round public bus service to Corfu town and Glyfada beach. There is also a great golf course (Corfu golf club) 5 minutes drive away in the beautiful Roda valley. If you are fit take a stroll up to the Kaiser's throne viewing point and wow yourself with the view of over half the island. Pelekas is mere 15 km from the venetian city of Corfu town. Owned by the venetians, the Ottomans, the French and the English, you can take a coffee in Europe's biggest square, Liston whilst taking in the French architecture surrounding a cricket crease and bandstand. Be brave and rent a car to explore the quiet unspoilt hill villages and beaches. Pop up the road to Paleokatstritsa, visit the monastery and buy some wine. Dine AL fresco and watch the sun going down into the turquoise sea over one of the most dramatic and beautiful coastlines you'll ever see. Take a boat trip or sea plane to the island of Paxos to truly get away from it all. Go to the archaeological museum in Corfu to see the fabulous remains of the temple of Artemis. Take the kids to Aqua Land, 5 mins by car and one of Europe's best water parks. Eat dangerously addictive cheese pies and saganaki (fried cheese) before sampling some of the wonderful fresh fish, local specialities with impossibly cheap wine...
