About the Property Huertos D'Olivos, Olive Orchards in Spanish, is a detached country villa set in very large gardens with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a larger than regular swimming pool (10 x 5 metres). As the name suggests, the villa is in a rural setting with its own olive orchards at the front of the property and neighbouring farmers' orchard at the back of the villa. Huertos D'Olivos is accessed through large iron gates and a driveway through the olive orchards to a shady garden area lined with trees at the front of the villa with parking for several cars. The front door opens into the spacious lounge with hallway leading to the kitchen/diner, family bathroom, 4 bedrooms and 2 further shower rooms. Outside is a covered terrace with dining table and chairs, comfortable outside seating, gated/fenced pool terrace and large 10 x 5 metre pool. The gardens are large with shady and sunny areas and the entire plot is level. Making this villa ideal for children and older people.

Location of Property Huertos D'Olivos is situated south of Valencia and 30 minutes drive inland of the resort of Gandia, in the area known as the Costa del Azahar (Orange Blossom coast). The valleys are farmed with olives, oranges and vines and framed with majestic mountains stretching as far as the eye can see. The nearest local town of Ontinyent is a 5 minute drive and is a lively country town with superb shops, bars and restaurants, cinema, bowling alley, internet cafes and a weekly market. The mediaeval city of Xativa is a 15 minute drive from Huertos D'Olivos and is highly recommended - preserved castle, old quarter, bull ring, elegant shops, fine dining and tapas bars. The beach resort of Gandia is 30 minutes drive and easily accessed by the main road located 1 km from the villa. Valencia is a'must see' City, only 45 minutes away. Railway station is very close and is cheap to use. Ontinyent has everything needed for a super holiday, including a Macdonalds for the kids!!!

There is a fully opening window with mosquito netting and grill.

All bedrooms have fans and oil filled electric heaters.

Huertos D'Olivos has just a few neighbouring country villas set in similarly large gardens/orchards so is private with views to the rear over neighbouring olive groves. The gardens are large and level, walled and gated so consequently very safe for young children. The pool terrace is fenced and gated and accommodates the large 10 x 5 metre pool with step access. Large gas BBQ. To the front of the villa are its own olive orchards leading down to the gated access from the lane

Comments: What we think of this Property and Location as a Holiday Choice We think this property is a fantastic holiday choice for families with children. The gardens and orchards are completely walled and gated and the swimming pool terrace is also separately fenced and gated for your safety. The local town of Ontinyent has all the usual market town attractions, English is spoken a little in the area as there are some English people living here, and its only a 30 minute drive to some superb sandy blue flag beaches. There is Satellite TV showing UK terrestrial channels (BBC1, ITV, C4, C5) plus Sky free view, DVD player and Hi-Fi unit. The villa has a brand new modern fitted kitchen with cooker/hob, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, and is fully equipped. There is a walk-in larder and dining table and chairs. Door to the rear garden area.

we are a family of 6 and it was one of the best holidays we have ever had. It is set in a quiet area so if you want loud night life then this is not the place for you but if you are looking for a quiet retreat for total rest peace and quiet then i would highly recommend it. We were met on arrival by a lovely couple the villa was lovely and clean the pool is superb which is where we spent most of our time. You approach the villa by a locked iron gates so it is totally secure for young children the pool is well fenced off. Inside the villa is very comfortable with plenty of space a nice big lounge and lovely size bedrooms all bathrooms are very well equipped you have 2 ensuite. The town has plenty of supermarkets and parking is good it is about a ten minute drive to the town which has a very friendly McDonald's. We did not eat out in the evening so i cant comment on that but the villa has one of the best and largest Braque's i have seen so we used this to cook on all the time. We really enjoyed the veranda we sat there every evening with a bottle of wine while the children swam. The only draw back was it gets very hot in the bedroom at bedtime and there is no air conditioning but they have provided fans and you do need to use them every night. This is the first time we have been to abroad as we have a daughter with many problems but i felt really happy that she could come to no harm here. The owners are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble i had to send several emails and they responded very quickly. If you are taking teenagers there is nothing for them to walk to you do need a car i did not notice any thing in the town for them to do so as mentioned previous you would probably need some where a different. Would whole heartly recommend this villa it was lovely.

We had a very comfortable 10 days in this well equipped villa. The location was quiet yet only 5 minutes drive from the town of Ontinyent. The area has plenty to offer including mountains, beautiful walks, beaches at Gandia, towns, museums, shopping all within 30 minutes drive. Valencia is only an hour away and you'll never run out of things to do there. The new art & science museum is a must, go to www.cac.es for info (in English too).

For food If you want simple, good and cheap try Bar Daniel Gil on Avenida Daniel Gil in Ontinyent only 7.50 euros for 3 courses and a drink. Or for excellent food try L'Alqueria at L'Alqueria d'Asnar between Muro and Cocentaina, about 20 euros a head, 2 course inlcuding wine.

We have lived in Spain for 5 years and have just bought a house 15 minutes from this villa so I think that endorses the area. The villa itself feels like home from home.

We stayed in this villa in August with our friends and had a great time, from site seeing during the day and having our beer and barbecue in the evening around a fabulous pool. The villa with really clean and homely with everything we needed for cooking in the evening. We will definately be recommending this villa to our friends and hopefully we will be back next year with more of our family as it is suitable for everyone.

lovely villa with large pool which my teenage sons and a friend really enjoyed.We would reccomend it if you want a quiet location.

We had a fantastic holiday,the weather was beautiful. We absolutely loved the villa - it was lovely and clean and had more than enough space for 8 of us. We all thought the location was great - complete get away from it all - the kids really enjoyed the pool.

I would definitely recommend the villa to friends/ family.
