  • 25% deposit and £75 refundable damage deposit required at time of booking.
    Balance required six weeks before start date.
  • Electricity is included, however there is a fuel charge of £25 per week for gas central heating. Solid fuel for the wood burner is not included in the price, coal and logs can be purchased in the village

    Bed linen and towels are not usually included, however special arrangements can be made if required at an additional cost

Ideal for activity holidays.: Whether you enjoy, water sports, canoeing, kayaking, diving, climbing, mountaineering, or walking this is the ideal location. Beginners courses available locally.

Ideal for visiting local attractions: So many places to visit, including museums, steam trains and railways, country parks, and castles. Why not include a trip to Dublin. Anglesey is only 8 miles away, and Holly-head Ferry Port less than 30 minutes drive. The unspoilt sandy beaches of Dinas Dinelle are just 20 minutes away. The village itself has a cafe, post office, bakery and pub serving real ale and reasonably prices food.

Excellent bus and rail service: A regular bus service runs from Cwm Y Glo to Banger, Caernarfon and Llanberis. There is a daily service to Llandudno and other major towns and resorts. Banger train station is only 20 minutes by car.

Steve stayed in June 2007 he said. 'This is the perfect location for climbing and mountain walking'
Khali said 'I love the Welsh Slate Museum, I could spend the whole day there, and going to the beach for an evening walk with the dog , and watching the sun go down was just amazing'.

Was very surprised by the wide range of activities availible and the scenery was beautiful. Also the cottage was comfortable and well located for caernarfon, bangor and the mountains of Snowdonia.

My wife and I rented this property for a week for ourselves, 3 young children and both our mothers. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The rooms were a little smaller than I expected but that would not put me off renting it again as for all we required even with 7 of us in the house were fine.

The people in charge of the letting were very friendly and promptly returned any emails and phone calls regarding the property. When speaking to the lady on the evening prior to our departure she was genuinely interested in not only whether we liked the cottage or not but what we had done and how we had enjoyed our holiday.

We found it very central for day trips to Caernarfon, Bangor, Angelsea, Mount Snowdon and Bewts-y-coed. There was many outdoor activities to do besides climbing Mount Snowdon but just ran out of time to do everything.

The Piggery pottery was a great way to fill in half a day on the only day it actually rained. The kids loved it with piggy banks, face masks etc to hand paint, not bad fun for adults either. It was only about a 15 minute walk up the road. The local pub about 20 minutes walk up the road had fabulous food at a reasonable price. I am a big eater and after a main and dessert, I certainly couldn't even fit in the cup of tea to finish. Fed 4 adults and 3 children with 2 courses for about £60, drinks were reasonable also.

All in all we had a really good experience and would recommend it for families with kids of all ages or people who love walking, mountain climbing or generally an adventurous holiday.
