For a slice of real Spanish life

A beautifully restored classic Galician house which beautifully mixes original stone wall features with a contemporary living space. Its outstanding feature is its enormous atrium living/dining/kitchen area with massive open fireplace and bar area. It also has four double bedrooms,a huge main bathroom, an upstairs shower room and downstairs w-c as well as a mezzanine space and games room with classic bar 'pool' table.

It's situated in the tiny village of Roo in the coastal area of Ria de Muros y Noia. The Ria winds its way inland for 40km, harbouring pristine white sandy beaches occupied only by the locals before and after siestas. The villa is blessed with fantastic countryside views and is a five minute drive to the local beach. It has a huge garden space, which has three levels; a BBQ area, a private 10m x 5m pool and a 'secret boules' area where you can play numerous outdoor games. The night lighting in the garden completes the magical appearance of this beautiful villa.

The Villa sits in the beautiful mountain forests of Ria de Muros and Noia and yet is only 3kms from the white sandy beaches of the Ria. The Ria harbours countless pristine white beaches. The two small towns of Noia and Muros are nearby for evening strolls, meals and fiestas. The historic city of Santiago de Compostela is just a 45minute drive away. Mountain hiking, swimming, horse riding, go-karting, tennis and golfing activities are all within an easy drive from the villa. But its own private pool, BBQ area, private boules area and stunning views interrupted only by the sounds of the river and sightings of eagles may well persuade you to stay at the villa for the duration of your stay!

A Beautiful Holiday Experience

Dear Rupert & Maria
Thank you for all your hard work and hospitality in putting together this beautiful house. We enjoyed it, the rain and the shine! And touristing around Santiago. We loved the beach at Carnota, hiking in the woods, the market at Noia, the warm neighbours, walking to the village for a glass of wine or groceries, eating peppers in Padron, driving to Portugal for a day, visiting local cathedrals and being welcomed in the church at the end of the day to hear choir practise – beautiful.

Super Relaxing

We had a great 2 weeks in Casa Piloto. We thoroughly enjoyed the house and the area. The scenery and the beaches are spectacular. We had a series of visitors who also enjoyed the holiday, sitting on the balcony, glass of wine in hand and reading a book as the sun sets was very relaxing. Thank you for your guide book, we visited 5 of your top ten beaches and 10 of your 12 recommended places to visit. All excellent choices as were the restaurants in Noia and Muros.

Beaches from Australia!

After a 4 day downpour, the weather lifted and we had glorious sunshine, warm evenings and long twilights, Galicia really shone and we saw how you could fall for the region with its charming locals, great fresh fish and seafood (and so cheap!)and pristine beaches, some, like Carnota, reminiscent of our wild, empty beaches back home in Australia.

What a fantastic place.

What a fantastic place. We enjoyed the tranquillity of the beautiful house and all the facilities. We had fun in the swimming pool and went to some breathtaking beaches – Carnota is enormous, very windy and was deserted. Aguieira was also lovely and a little more sheltered. We also loved Abelleira (just before Muros) – it had very warm water and lots of fish!

Wonderful restoration

We had a wonderful time, the area is as lovely as the house and its view. We have rented many villas and this is truthfully one of the most beautiful and well restored.
Because the immediate surroundings are so nice, we spent most of the time there, going for long walks in the woods, which are well worth exploring. The swimming pool and pool table were well used, so was the boules green (bumpy but fun!)
