Detached traditional chalet nestling on the slopes of Mont Blanc in Les Contamines Montjoie. Chalet Concluses offers spacious accommodation over three floors for 1-8 people. (Travel cot + extra bed (ie 3 single beds in ground floor bedroom 1 is also available). Ground floor: two bedrooms (one en-suite), heated ski room with storage and boot airers, washing machine, separate toilet. Sauna shower room with handbasin. First floor: large lounge/diner with log burner, leading onto a sunny balcony with panoramic views, separate kitchen (oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher), master bedroom, bathroom and separate toilet. Mezzanine bedroom two single beds and/or bed setee accessible from the lounge. There is a two person Sauna adjacent to the ski locker room. The chalet is just 2 minutes from the ski bus stop with direct access to the cable car system. The centre of the village is 10 minutes walk away. The chalet is also ideal for walkers/hikers as it is on the GR5 (Mont Blanc Tour).

Les Contamines Monjoie is a traditional Savoyard village with excellent winter and summer activities. It nestles in the foothills of Mont Blanc with ski facilities excellent in its own right, but with easy access to St. Gervais, Megeve, Combloux and St. Nicholas all linked under one Evasion Mont Blanc Ski Pass. There are many shops, bars and restaurants in the village, all within walking distance of Chalet Concluses. The ski domain of Chamonix and Argentiere is within a 30 minute drive with additional excellent skiing. Les Contamines Montjoie has an excellent snow record. It is a favourite destination for skiers when snow is poor elsewhere. The resort is famous for powder and especially off piste skiing. In the summer walking, mountain biking, climbing,water rafting,ice skating and tennis are all possible with a large sports centre open 2kms down the valley.

  • Catered weeks are available from £350 per person per week (minimum 8 guests). This arrangement includes breakfast, afternoon tea and five course dinner with wine. Please contact us for availability and details. For self-catered bookings bed linen is included.Towels can be hired locally. A £250 security deposit is charged and banked in advance and returned upon inventory and damage check at the end of your stay. Final cleaning is also included. A 25% deposit will secure your booking with final payment due 8 weeks before commencement of holiday. A local agent is available for emergencies. Beds will be made up according to your requirements. Heating and hot water will be turned on in advance of your arrival. Ski passes and lessons can be arranged in advance for a small fee. Telephone calls to all land lines in Europe and North America are included in the rental charge

Chalet Concluses - the perfect skiing holiday!!!!!

Chalet Concluses is brilliant, the bedrooms are lovely, the living room is really comfy and well equipped with a great TV, ipod dock, comfy sofas, wood burner to keep you warm in winter and fantastic views!! The kitchen has just about everything you could ever want BUT if Ivan and Deb are about to cater for you they are AMAZING so you could take that option!!! The food was better than any I have ever had on a skiing holiday, of a very high standard and there was lots of it. They also made sure they took everyone's tastes into account and got us bread etc. to make packed lunches to take up the mountain each day - which worked brilliantly. They also helped us with all our ski and boot hire, getting passes etc. which was a HUGE help. Les Contamines is a great resort, not an ugly concrete jungle like some of the Alpine resorts but a pretty French town. It's not huge but the runs are so good and varied that you can literally ski them all day (there are also quite a few bars and restaurants to stop for vin chaud!). There are runs for all abilities and tastes and you don't have to spend your whole time on lifts, which I have found to be a problem in some other resorts. It's also only an hour or so from Geneva which means you can be on the slopes by midday the day you travel which is a huge plus AND if you so desire you can easily go 5 minutes down the road to St Gervais and ski the whole Megeve area too (Megeve is also very cool for shopping!!!!). I cannot emphasise enough what a great time we all had in Chalet Concluses, I would definitely recommend it for either catered or self-catered holidays, particularly because Deb and Ivan are SO helpful and supportive. Thanks for a brilliant holiday!

We had a wonderful time in Chalet Concluses.Ivan and Deb were extremely helpful in sorting out ski/boot hire to enable us to get on the slopes immediately and ski passes were ready and waiting to be collected saving time.The chalet has everything you could possibily want and it is so home from home.Les Contamines is very pretty and the skiing is superb.Restaurants come highly recommended but there is nothing nicer than coming home to Concluses after a hard days skiing to a warm cosy enviroment to enjoy a good hearty meal and lots of vino!!! Its was an amazing holiday and we are looking forward to our return next Feb.Thank you Ivan and Deb for ensuring our holiday was perfect!!!

Chalet Concluses – Fantastic

I cant recommend this chalet enough!
It is beautiful well equipped chalet located quite centrally to the slopes and village.

If you are a beginner, the slopes and ski school are brilliant. I would recommend a private lesson or 2 to get you going!

If Ivan and Deb are available to cater for you take the option!!!!! Their cooking is out of this world and their company even better!

Hopefully see you next year!

Early summer break 2008

We came looking for a walking holiday and it was the ideal location. Contamines and surrounding area has a lot to offer the keen walker/hiker/cyclist. Only two of us so we had more space than we needed. Very well equipped kitchen - it lacked for nothing! If I have to find a criticism it is proximity to the road which could be noisy early morning, but having said that we soon got used to it. Owners very helpful and obliging.
Owner's Response: As owners we have never found the proximity of the road a problem. Of course in the winter easy access to the bus stop is a real bonus especially carrying skis etc. The road is cleared throughout the season making for easy access. The chalet is fully double glazed and insulated in order to miimise any outside noise. The summer is a quieter period anyway. Glad to know Les Contamines came up to expectations for walking and summer activity.

Real Holiday 'Home-from-Home'

My family had a great time in the chalet. It is well equiped and inviting. Very cosy environment so no need to go out in the evening as everything catered for. Kitchen well equiped (better than mine)! TV & DVD for children. We will book again next year and definately recommend this chalet. Thanks for the support through-out our holiday, really nice friendly people. Thanks again.
