Charming apartment, it is located near 30 minutes from Lisbon airport in a town called Cascais next to the sea. Perfect to enjoy Cascais, the marina and walks to Guincho. A beautifully decorated apartment, 10 minutes from Cascais marina, walking distance from historical centre away. Near the beach where you can do wind surfing and just simple surfing or body board. Super walks by the Atlantic ocean, super restaurants around the place. Shut condominium so no robberies and pool and garden for the tenants. A really good atmosphere. Beach: The beach near the apartment is the guincho beach with lots of white sand and beautiful view over the cliffs and the Atlantic ocean. Ideal for windsurfing and surfing

Town: situated in an old fishing village 30mn away from Lisbon this small town is near old important museums places to visit in central Portugal. You will be able to find all kinds of restaurants for all tastes and for all purses. You can also find night life and bars all over the place. Best fresh fish and sea food in Europe. You have night life and bars and you are situated near to marina and near the centre of the town.

Golf: You have a lot of golfs clubs in a matter of minutes Quinta da marinha golf club, Penha Longa Golf Club, Lagoa Azul Golf Club

My family stayed at this apartment July 08. Location is great; only 15 minutes walk to town and waterfront. Safe and quiet area and it appeared to us that the residents of this complex were mainly Portugese and so the pool area was nearly always empty with only a few other holiday makers using it.

The building itself it 7 storeys high (2 lifts) and our apartment was on the 2nd floor. The apartment is a good size and clean, but I felt it could do with up dating in areas particularly the bathrooms where the tiles were held on by selotape!!! The kitchen was also a bit dated but it did have everything we needed to cook.

Perhaps better quality tables in the kitchen and on the balcony would have been nice as the white plastic ones were a bit on the wobbly side.

I was expecting full air conditioning in the apartment, but it turned out to be a portable air con unit in the lounge. Luckily we found the apartment to be nice and cool in the evenings and so never needed air con anyway.

I would recommend a train trip to Lisbon (2nd largest aquarium in the world down on the water front and the kids loved the cable car ride) and also a trip to Sintra.

nearest supermarket is in town centre (Jumbo) has all you need.

If you have one then take Sat Nav. We found it very usefull in the hire car.

Nearest walking beach in town but water quality not great. Best beach about 10 minute drive. it's huge with lovely sand but watch out for big waves!

Location and holiday great, but a little disappointed with quality of bathrooms/kitchen.
Recommended for:  Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Age 55+, Sightseeing

The best of this appartment is its location.
The appartment itself needs renovating, e.g. the toilet in one bathroom is broken an the shower does not have a curtain.In the other bathroom which has a curtain for the shower, the heater does not work, and you can also lock yourself easily in, as the locker does not work properly.
In general the appartment was not appropriately clean, especially the kitchen, the towels and the balconies were dirty and required uprfront cleaning by us before we could use them.
On several occasions the power supply was cut off and the fuse had to be plugged in again.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing
Owner's Response: I am sorry this happened to this client and that I did know about it.I am constantly on top of small details in the appartement so that all clients have a super and worthwhile holiday. All details in the bathroom ( toilet seatand shower) (the heater in the other bathroom) have been repaired To any future clients coming, please do not hesitate to contact me if anything is not in order. When we came the flat was rather cold and it took some time to heat it up (february), but we had lots of blankets at our disposal. The furniture is ok and the beds are nice to sleep in. It was not possible the heat one of the bathrooms (a defect heater) and there wasn't enough heaters to warm up the hole apartment. One of the bathroom doors can't be open from the inside and the water heater wasn't efficient enough so the water was just a little bit more than lukewarm.
But it was a nice and roomy apartment and we had a nice week in it. The porters were very nice people and all in all the portuguese people we met during our stay were very friendly and helpful. Cascais is a nice city and you can take a lot of interesting tours in and out of town, at foot or by car, we also took the train one day to Lissabon. There is a nice walk to town about 600-800 meters. Maybe not so funny if it rains, but then you can go by car. It's not so expensive to rent a car in Portugal.
Enyou your stay, we did.
Most people speaks english.

the apartment was a good size for a family.It was quite a walk back from the supermarket (uphill)
We felt it could do with a coat of paint and also the furniture was tired looking.
None of the doors closed properly and one member of our group was stuck in the bathroom for 20 minutes.Also some electrical points didn't work.The bedding wasn't ironed but it was clean.
The public areas were well looked after, especially the gardens, and the pools were fantastic. All members of staff were very friendly and helpful.
All in all it was very enjoyable.Of course the excellent weather helped.
Recommended for:  Families with Young Children, Tourists without a Car
