Bay tree cottage is a beautiful, romantic, traditional cottage which has been lovingly restored and retains all the original features, which include the original slate fireplace, which houses a wood burner for those winter evenings. The cottage sleeps up to 4 people comfortably, and has been decorated to a very high standard throughout. The location couldn't be better, as it is situated in the centre of Bowness, and is only a 5 mins walk to the shores of Lake Windermere. This self-catering cottage has a warm cosy atmosphere, yet has a contemporary twist. It has all the modern conveniences, one would expect to have whilst on holiday, and has 2 beautifully decorated double bedrooms, with designer bed linen, and bespoke furniture. The cottage has a small, yet intimate, courtyard at the rear, which has seating for 4, and a BBQ for al fresco dining.

On entering Bay Tree cottage you are greeted with a beautifully decorated lounge area, complete with travertine floor, and the original full slate fireplace with traditional log burner. Through the lounge is a spacious dining area with a stunning stone french table for 4 people to dine comfortably. From the dining room is the fully fitted kitchen, with an added breakfast-utility room. The kitchen has the original stone floor, and has a stable door with access to the rear courtyard, complete with fragrant plants, and seating for 4 people. There is also a BBQ for those hot summer days. The upstairs will not disappoint either, as both bedrooms are truly romantic, the master bedroom having a queen size canopy bed, for true elegance. This cottage has been lovingly restored, and along with a superb location, it is not to be missed!

Bay tree cottage is located in the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere, and is only a 5 mins walk to walk Windermere. All the shops and restaurants are on the cottage doorstep, there is also a cinema at the bottom of the street for those rainy days. Lake Windermere offers cruises, and you can hire boats if you prefer to venture out on your own. Other activities are the Beatrix potter museum, horse riding, the list is endless.
