Located in the village of Procchio, this 2 house property offers a charming, self-catering retreat with easy access to all amenities and Procchio beach (250m). The main house (La Ciabatta) has three bedrooms (one en suite) and sleeps 7. There is an additional small twin en suite bedroom with external access. The smaller house ( La Ciabattina) is a modern open plan split level house. On the ground floor there is the living area with a double sofabed, kitchenette and shower room. The property has a lush, mature and spacious garden, a covered patio with a granite table and a built-in barbecue area. There is also an outside shower, a private drive with ample parking space and an automated gate. All the rooms are tiled, spacious and lovingly decorated. There are also 2 washing machines and a dishwasher. The two separate and independent houses make the property ideal for large families and the small twin ensuite bedroom with external access is ideal to accommodate a member of staff.

The village of Procchio is on the northern coast of the island of Elba, 20 minutes from the capital and main ferry port of 'Portoferraio'. The village has the largest and most beautiful bay of the island and is within easy reach of the larger towns of 'Marina di Campo' and 'Marciana'.     - The kitchen must be left tidy and clean as it was found, otherwise an extra 50 Euros will be charged.

    - Cancellation clauses:

We stayed here for a week in June. Very well positioned, close to the town, shops and beach. Resort is charming with good restaurants and sandy beach. Well placed for touring the island by bus or car.

Property modern and in good condition. Very large garden with wood burning BBQ. Lots of outside areas for eating and sitting or lying out in the sun or shade.

Would recommend for groups of 6 adults or more.

Owner very helpful, but make sure that you get the gate entry code before you arrive!

I visited Elba for a second time in June of this year. When I first visited five years ago, I fell in love with the island so my second visit had very high expectations to live up to.

My second visit was everything my first experience of the island was and more. No less because of the Ciabatta, which is a fantastic property.

The house is spacious and comfortably fits a large group. It is ideally placed in every snese. You're never more than a five minute walk from everything you could need; beach, restaurants, shops, cafe's and bars. It is also tastefully decorated which only adds to its charm.

When we arrived, the house was immaculately clean and the garden extremely well looked after. There is plenty of space in the grounds of the house for kids to run about and three or four cars can easily be parked in the drive. A large, brick barbecue makes for some great outdoor evening meals.

The Ciabattina, which is best described as an out-house for the property, is an enchanting, quaint little house ideal for grandparents or for a separate couple looking for some privacy.

We had a fantastic time at the house and we're looking to come back again next year. I thoroughly recommend this property, its versatility and accessability make it an ideal holiday retreat where one can relax and enjoy this wonderful island.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal auf Elba. Im Haus sind genügend Schlafzimmer für 9 Personen. Die Bäder sind nicht die neuesten, aber ok. Es stehen genügend Toiletten und Duschen zur Verfügung. Die Küche und der Wohnraum sind eher klein, aber da auf Elba ja in der Regel gutes Wetter ist, hält man sich eh mehr im Freien auf. Hier steht ein sehr großer überdachter Esstisch zur Verfügung. Ebenso kann man sich auf Gartenliegen und Stühlen entspannen. Der Garten ist wirklich sehr groß, optimal für Kinder geeignet. Das kleinere Haus (Ciabattina) ist ein sehr nettes Nebenhaus, indem 2 bis maximal 4 Personen Platz finden. Das gesamte Grundstück ist umzäunt und von außen durch die großen Büsche und Hecken nicht einsehbar. Der einzige Nachteil ist die Lage an der sehr stark befahrenen Straße. Dadurch herrscht tagsüber immer ein gewisser Lärmpegel. Dafür kann man aber den Strand problemlos zu Fuß in nur wenigen Minuten erreichen. Der Sandstrand von Procchio gehört meiner Meinung nach zu den schönsten der Insel und ist auch für kleinere Kinder bestens geeignet, da man sehr weit im Wasser stehen kann. Bei unserer Anreise waren alle Schlüssel hinterlegt. Leider kam die Hauskeeperin erst am Ende der Woche vorbei. Wir hätten eine kurze Einführung zu Beginn des Urlaubs für sinnvoll erachtet, zumal es nicht ganz einfach war, die Gasleitung für den Herd in Betrieb zu nehmen.
Alles in allem hat uns der Urlaub auf Elba aber sehr gut gefallen und wir können die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen. Auch wir würden wieder das Haus buchen.
