Photos and Description of this San Sebastian holiday apartment Exclusive and quiet residential area. 10 minutes from the beach.

The apartment is situated on a recently built residential estate (2003). 1st floor, very sunny and with excellent views of the town and the countryside; in an exclusive and quiet residential area. Near from the beach and minutes from the city centre. Within walking distance to supermarkets, pharmacy, bank, restaurants. Private car park for two cars in the same building with direct access through the lift. Sleeping 6 people, 4 bedrooms (2 double and 2 single). Main double room with a 1.80 m bed and a complete en-suite bathroom. All the beds have latex mattresses, as well as shower booths in the two bathrooms. The kitchen is equipped with the latest electrical appliances and there is an office-dining room. Outdoor clothes line with a washing machine. Wall-to-wall wardrobes in all the rooms. Every room has exterior windows, is very bright and with lovely views. A 14 m balcony with dining table. Good Communicated with Bilbao, Biarritz and charming towns, such as Zarautz, Getaria.

Great apartment, very friendly and helpful owner

5 of us stayed here in early December.

Joseba is modest about it but speaks good English, in a completely different league to my own poor attempts at Spanish.

Joseba met us at the apartment, and spent a lot of time with us showing us around the apartment and how everything worked. He then spent time showing us maps of the region that were in the apartment, recommending places to visit, showing us where the local supermarkets and bars were, providing a list of winehouses in Rioja that were open to visitors and giving us all the local information we could possibly need.

The apartment itself is well equipped with modern fittings, spotlessly clean and was spacious for the 5 of us. It comes with a garage - something we didn't think we'd need as there is parking outside, however we happened to pick a very wet week and it was invaluable being able to pack up the car in the dry.

The kitchen appliances are all modern, and we made use of them to cater for ourselves on a couple of nights.

The apartment is not right in the centre, however there are shops and bars nearby and Ondaretta beach is not far either. There is a bus stop outside if you want to go into the centre, which isn't very car friendly and hard to find parking.

As the apartment is on the edge of the town, there is easy access onto the motorway for day trips to places such as Bilbao or the French coastal towns of Biarritz and Bayonne.

San Sebastian is a beautiful city, as are many of the surrounding villages. As well as beaches, there are hills all around and plenty of opportunity for walking.

I would not hesitate to return to this region and would definitely recommend this property.

Joseba, our host, was very generous with his time and knowledge of the place during our stay. He was fantastic and met all of our expectations and more!
The apartment itself was spotless and everything worked well. It was nice to eat on the sunny large balcony in the morning. The place is like brand new and very close to the shopping areas, resaurants/bars and the beach (either by walk or bus). We are two very satisfied travelling couples from US and Canada and feel VERY comfortable in recommending this apartment.

Excellent apartment

We had a fantastic 7 day stay in this apartment. It is clean and stylish, very comfortable, spacious, and has all the equipment you need for a good stay. The kitchen is equipped to a very high standard.

We were particularly impressed by how helpful and friendly the owners were as well.

It is a short walk (10 - 15 min) down to the lovely Ondaretta beach and well connected with frequent buses to the rest of the town. Also a taxi from the Old Town costs only €6-7 so getting around is really easy.

There is also a superb supermarket (Lukas) around the corner that also does wine-tastings and deli-style food. You can eat and drink your shopping on the sizeable balcony back at the apartment.

We would be happy to stay here again and didn't want to leave.
