Casa dos Três Mochos is your perfect base for a lovely holiday and is open all year round. The 10 x 5m pool looks onto lawn and established trees and shrubs. The pool has a large terrace with sun loungers, chairs and sunshades. The apartment has french windows which open onto the surround terrace. These are protected by fly screens and there are roller shutters. The bedroom and lounge have air-conditioning units for summer use. The lounge is well-appointed with a sunny aspect and the kitchen is well-equipped with all of your needs. There is a large walk-in shower and towels are replaced frequently. The bedroom is roomy with all the storage space necessary. The House of the Three Owls is within a very short distance of local amenities and the coast. Your friendly hosts are at hand should you need any assistance or help finding somewhere of interest to visit, but generally go about their daily tasks unnoticed.

Casa dos Três Mochos is within a short distance of Sandy beaches, Golf Courses, Water Parks, Roman ruins, Shopping Centres, old Churches with storks nesting on the top and a Nature Reserve. Pechão is a few minutes away by road; just a few minutes further is Olhão and Faro is 20 minutes away. Whether from Olhão or many of the nearby coastal resorts, you can easily and quickly reach the island beaches - by boat, narrow gauge train or by road. The island beaches border the ocean and some have blue flag rating. There are restaurants and also beach shelters to hire. Olhão boasts a fishing fleet and you can see the local boatmen work their small craft at various tasks. At the water's edge it is good to sit and sip a drink and watch the world go by. It is a popular area for locals and tourists alike and has a great atmosphere. If you wish to go further afield, why not take the motorway to Spain with its own unique culture or a high speed train to Lisbon and the north of Portugal.

  • The bathroom is tiled in typical Portuguese blue and white. The large walk-in shower has, for those of us who require to sit or for those a little unsteady on their feet, a built-in tiled shower seat. The vanity unit has a marble surround with a cupboard and shelving beneath, plus shaving point.

The french windows lead out to the surround terrace from the bedroom. An air-condition unit is installed for summer use.

Notes: While there is no wheelchair accessibility into the apartment, it is suitable for those less infirm, i.e. guests using crutches or with a walking aid. Children are welcome although they must at all times be supervised, especially in the pool area. The grounds are not suitable for very young children.

YOUR HOLIDAY HOME FROM HOME: Casa dos Três Mochos is ideally situated in peaceful countryside but within very easy reach of all amenities. The grounds include many mature olive and carob trees and beautiful natural gardens. Guests are welcomed to wander through the grounds, which will give access to surrounding areas.

MEETING YOU AT THE AIRPORT: We always meet our guests at Faro airport to ensure their arrival here goes as smoothly as possible, regardless of whether or not they have arranged their own transport. This is a complimentary service. A hire car can be booked on your behalf, details are available.

Other Activities: Lots of island beaches are reached by ferry or even a train.

Graet place to stay, realy perfect host, friendly, loads of good advice from Alan who knew all the best places to eat and drink. The property,accomodation,pool and gardens were all as discribed in the blurb and more. You do need a car to get around, once you get used to driving around there are lots of interesting places within the area to vist. I would recommend this accomodation to any one who loves peace,quite and a fully layed back holiday.
