Denia is located halfway between Alicante and Valencia, and enjoys exceptional weather all year round. This beautiful town centre with all it’s restaurants, bars, shops, pavement cafes and boutiques is a 12 minute walk. The ancient castle is located in the town centre along with a wonderful food market (selling fresh fish and other local produce) and a traditional market which is held twice weekly. One of Denia’s fine sandy beaches is located within one minute’s walk of the apartment (across the road) and includes parasols, loungers, volley ball nets and a beach bar. Many other beaches are within a short drive away. From the port of Denia (10 mins walk) there is frequent ferry service to Ibiza and Mallorca, and a day boat along the coast to Javea, Moraira and Calpe. The recently built marina (5 mins walk) is home to many amazing sailing boats and is the perfect place for an evening stroll with it’s stylish bars, restaurants and cafes.

  • CLEANING & LAUNDRY - In between rentals, the Atico is professionally cleaned and the towels and linen are professionally laundered. There is a small fee of 120 Euros to cover this. This fee will be added to the rental fee shown above.
  • OPTIONAL MAID SERVICE - If you are staying for more than 1 week, you may want to take advantage of our maid service available at 10 Euros per hour, and/or collect and return laundry service available for towels/linen at 10 Euros per person. This optional maid service must be booked in advance for rentals during June, July and August.
  • DEPOSIT - There is a 25% deposit on booking and the balance is payable 6 weeks before arrival. There is also a refundable security deposit of 250 euros. PAYMENT - preferred payment is via bank transfer, in euros. However, we do also accept payment in Sterling (GBP). Both currency options are quoted for all enquiries.

  • Both the main bathroom and the ensuite have identical facilities, including a hydro massage bath with shower attachment and shower door, wash basin, large mirror with integral lighting, vanity unit, toilet and bidet, plus electric shower point. The ensuite is located with the main bedroom on the lower floor, and the main bathroom is located on the upper floor with the other two bedrooms. Hairdryer and diffuser included. There is also a cloakroom on the lower floor. Bathroom & pool towels provided throughout.

  • The main bedroom has a large double bed, and includes an ensuite bath/shower room with vanity unit and bidet. The bath has a hydro massage function for ultimate relaxation. The second bedroom is on the upper floor, and has twin beds (which can be pushed together). There is also room for a travel cot (supplied) in this bedroom. The third bedroom has adult sized bunk beds, with adjustable/removable safety rails. There is also a single futon/sofa bed in this room. The apartment can therefore sleep 7 adults plus one cot bed (or 6 adults plus two cot beds). Each bedroom has fully fitted wardrobes, with drawers and shoe rack, bedside table with lamp and an alarm clock. All linen is provided.

Notes: The apartment is very safe & secure, there is video entry phone to the complex and shutters on all windows & patio doors. The apartment has air conditioning plus electrically operated sun shade canopy on the main terrace. The lovely communal gardens comprise a swimming pool with children's area (2 foot depth), jacuzzi, palm trees and shaded areas. Additionally there is a children's play area with a slide onto soft ground. The apartment is very parent/child friendly and there is a steriliser, baby monitor, baby walker, high chair, and plastic utensils (cutlery, crockery, pots etc). If you fancy some exercise, then apart from a stroll along the beach and all the other local amenities, there is also a short-tennis court and fully fitted gym and sauna within the complex itself. There is a secure underground car park with electronic vehicle entrance and exit gates, with one allocated place, (plenty of street parking also available) and a lift from the underground car park to 4th floor.

Local dining: There are many restaurants within walking distance of the apartment, some are located within 2 minutes walk. The town centre has a wide selection of restaurants including tapas bars, pizzerias, steak houses, and the new marina (a 5 minute walk from the apartment) has a number of stylish bars, cafes and restaurants at the far end. A mini-market is located across the road from the apartment (just out of view) and is well stocked with all standard provisions. Larger supermarkets (Mercadona, Eroski and Mas y Mas are all similar to Sainsburys or Tesco superstores) are located in the town centre.

Local attractions: Water, safari and theme parks can be found in and around Benidorm which is a 30 minute drive down the coast. The new Marriot Golf & Spa Resort, which adjoins the golf course at La Sella, has a choice of 5 restaurants and a Alanya Spa available to non-residents. For a special evening out, the Benidorm Palace has a spectacular show with dinner, wine and dancing as is reputed to have the largest stage in the world. For a more intimate Spanish style dinner/dance flamenco experience, Viva Espana is located 25 mins to the north in Oliva.

Travelling by air and rail: Many airlines, including low-budget airlines like Easyjet, Ryan Air, and Monarch fly from Stansted, Luton, and Gatwick to Valencia and Alicante airports. Denia is located in the Costa Blanca, halfway between Valencia and Alicante airports (both approx 90 km / 1 hours drive). A single motorway (A7) links both airports to Denia, and we have comprehensive map/directions to make sure you find us easily. Having a rental car is not strictly necessary but is of course useful. Alternatively a taxi from the airport is about 100 Euros each way. However, if you wish to avoid the cost of a rental car and/or taxi, you can take the train from the airport to Denia (although its not direct, and takes about 2.5 hours). The railway station is walking distance to the apartment, but with luggage you may prefer a short 3 minute taxi. Once you are at the apartment, you really don't need a car - there are plenty of bars/restaurants within 5/10 mins walk, and the town centre is just 12 mins walk away.

Golf: The stunning 6000 metre 18 hole par 72 La Sella course is less than 15 minutes drive away (approx 8 km). This course is due to be expanded to 27 holes in the near future, and adjoins the Marriott Golf & Spa Resort which is open to visitors so the ladies can pamper themselves whilst the men visit the 19th hole. There are several more golf courses close-by including Club de Golf Javea 18 holes (18 kilometres) , Club de Golf Oliva Nova 18 holes (17 kilometers) and Club de Golf Ifach 9 holes (25 kilometres).

Family holiday in Denia

We stayed in this apartment in August 2009 and loved every minute. The fact that the kids had their own floor, each with their own balcony and shared bathroom was a big hit and the downstairs area was spacious, well decorated and comfortable. The view from the large main balcony is lovely so most of our meals were taken outside, possible in August due to the retractable awning. The beach is close by, but as the swimming pool area is large and very pleasant we were quite happy to stay within the complex. The main shopping area of Denia is within walking distance (15 mins) but there is also a small local supermarket just along the street. There are also plenty of restaurants and bars on the marina which, again, is only a short walk away. The owners were easily contactable, very helpful and accommodating. All in all, a lovely place to spend one's holiday - we would definitely like to return in the future.

Great Denia Rental for Families

We stayed at this property in late July, 2009, and found that the property comfortably accommodated 4 adults, and 3 small children, and even a 4th child for a few of the nights. The main balcony overlooking the pool and courtyard was enormous and served as a great area to escape from the kids. This balcony has a retractable awning which could shade all or a portion of the balcony which was a great feature. The apartment is modern with stone tile throughout, and the kitchen has all the necessary amenities. The complex was not very busy, even though it was the height of the summer, which was great, because it was quiet, and you had room to swim in the pool. The beach across the street is a bit sea-weedy, but you can catch a bus, or drive 5-10 minutes max to some incredible beaches on the north side of Denia. We did not have a car, and had no problem walking the 15 minutes into town, even with the kids. We arrived by ferry from Ibiza, and easily walked from the Ferry terminal to the apartment. Overall, we had a great time and would return to this rental in the future.

I would consider myself, indeed ourselves, as somewhat fussy holiday-makers, in so far as, as much as possible we like all of a rather extensive list of criteria to comply with wherever we choose to visit eg location/restaurants/beach/pool/aircon/space/natural beauty of the area/accomodation standards etc.
Naturally this can prove quite difficult when selecting the destination based on what a website does or does not say, so you can indeed be disappointed.
Extremely pleased in this case to shout from the picturesque roof-tops how totally accurate the advertisment rang true! All was as it said it would be;
1. A spotlessly maintained and presented property
2. Every conceivable facility both within the property and it's surrounds
3. Proximity to town/beach/restaurants, all wonderful, smashing little town, beach literally across the road.
4. Hosts were so contactable, flexible and understanding when we encountered a last minute travel hitch, and their welcoming stocked fridge was a marvelous touch.

I suppose in summary, the question is, would one recommend to friends and family, absolutely, and should they take our advice and book, we will remain nothing but jealous! Great place, great people, great time.

Fantastic Family Holiday

This apartment went beyond our expectations. Not only was it well-stocked to cater for families but beautifully laid out with luxurious furnishings. Our children enjoyed feeling they had a suite to themselves upstairs, while we loved having the double room ensuite downstairs.

It was exceptionally clean and had wonderful views over the swimming pool area and beyond with a hint of the beach in the distance. Although we ate out a lot, the kitchen had all the essential equipment for when we wanted to cater for ourselves - especially after we had visited the breath-taking indoor food market in the centre of Denia and had come back laden with local fruits, veg and meat.Will definitely visit the food market again next time and the fish market, where we stood entranced as the boats came in and unloaded their catch of the day.

It was handy to have a washing machine and to be able to hang the clothes and beach towls out on the mini balcony at the back of the apartment which meant we could sit on the main balcony enjoying a glass of wine without having to look at the laundry drying.

The sandy beach is within easy walking distance and one of the beachside restaurants sells icecreams and lollies - at a price!

When we arrived the welcome pack in the fridge was much appreciated but we soon discovered the very well-stocked supermarket, again just a walk around the corner. Between the supermarket and the local gym, is a small bar which was a godsend when we arrived for the first time in Denia late in the evening with two hungry children and no energy to go back into town to find somewhere to eat.

There was plenty of information in the apartment on where to eat out and things to do. Eating out can be expensive, and even more so now the exchange rate is so poor. If we didn't feel like walking into town for dinner - only about a 15-20 minute fast walk - then the Italian restaurant on the beach was excellent, although, again, expensive.

When it was sunny we only wanted to spend time on the beach or around the pool. The only disappointment was that the swimming pool was very cold and although the children braved the water, we adults remained dry throughout the holiday despite wanting to do a few lengths to work of all that lovely food. However, we did go in May so it might have warmed up later in the season.

Definitely check out the soft tennis court as we had hours of fun playing on this.

Can't wait to go back this year!

A lovely apartment with all the comforts of home. Nicely decorated and brilliant for young children. The property and grounds are well maintained and secure. Get down to the harbour at about 5pm to watch all the fishing boats come in. Nice beaches but would also highly recommend Calp. Supermarket very close with everything you need including english papers.
