A traditional, newly renovated, house situated on a hilltop, with magnificent views over unspoilt countryside to the sea - yet only 25 mins to Faro airport. It is just over 1 km from the small, typically Portuguese, village of Santa Catarina which has several, unsophisticated, shops and bars - fine for everyday needs. Larger supermarkets are within easy reach, as are the beaches, golf courses and razzmatazz of the Algarve coast. Reached by a good track, which winds through orange and olive groves, the accommodation is simple but perfect. Downstairs are 2 reception rooms, 1 with log burning fire; fully fitted kitchen with dining end; 2 bedrooms, each with own bathroom. Stairs to the master bedroom with bathroom and private roof terrace. Outside cobbled terraces surround the swimming pool and lead to a romantic shaded eating area with barbecue. There are stunning views over the formal and wild hillside gardens towards the sea. Ideal for walkers or just to chill out in perfect peace.

Tavira - a delightful town with 18th century houses lining the riverbank and cobbled streets leading to the castle - is the perfect place to relax with good food and wine. Sao Bras is great for shopping - as is Loule which has a bustling daily market. The beaches of the Eastern Algarve are amongst the best in Europe; miles of uncrowded golden sand. There are many golf courses within easy reach - as well as water slide parks and Zoomarine dolphins for the children. For walkers, it is paradise - from the house tracks lead down to a river, then back into the hills.

We live next door
Our house is about 50m away. We have dogs, all friendly, and though we do our best to keep them away, they may visit occasionally. Please, if you are allergic to - or simply hate dogs - it may be best to choose another place to go !
We have teenage children - a girl of 17 and a boy of 16. We therefore offer a 10% discount to families with party members aged 15 - 18 !!!!
