Our Italian holiday

I coulldn't have wished for a better location to introduce my family to the Italian way of life. Our hosts were generous and always availabe to give advice on places to go, things to eat.
30 minutes outside of Napoli meant we had the opportunity to mingle with the locals and discover a bit more about that part of the world (and very importantly not pay tourists prices).
We were lucky to have a car which without it would have been a nightmare holiday. We were 30 minutes away from Pompei and all the beautiful towns of the Amalfi coast full of people so it was always nice to come back to the tranquil palace (fully air con too).
The rooms were spacious and tastefuly decorated and always clean. We felt at home and not in a hotel and that was crucial.
The children were incredibly welcomed and enjoyed the swimming pool, the cats and the beautiful orange trees that surrounded us.
Breakfast was included and always had a healthy choice.
I think we could have done with a bigger fridge to accomodate all the girls (three of them) needs but we managed.
My advice would be not to stay as long as we did (10 days) as the choice of restaurants (pizza and pasta) was running thin being the August month.
It is the ideal spot for a romantic getaway, surrounded by beauty and history. And we will never forget out hosts.
We would go back and I have already spoken to all my friends about catelcicala.
