County Galway holiday apartment: Clifden

We stayed in the Executive Apartment for 2 nights during a trip to Mayo & Galway and were extremely pleased with both the apartment and its location, both accurately described on the website.

The apartment is spacious, light and airy and very appealingly decorated in a modern style. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bathrooms are well appointed with good showers and one with a bath. Everything was spotlessly clean and welcoming for our arrival with some low lights thoughtfully burning.

The communication with the friendly and helpful apartment manager was good throughout and, since we were sightseeing en route to Clifden, the flexibility we were given about arrival time was great and a quick 'phone call sorted out a very minor problem immediately.

The apartment is right in the centre of Clifden which is a charming small town from which a number of spectacular and easily driven roads give access to the fabulous Connemara region.

Pubs,restaurants and a variety of shops are all within a few minutes stroll and, despite the fact that the apartment overlooked Main Street, it was not at all noisy. (we had a superb meal in Mitchell's Restaurant - left out of the apartment, first left and on the left at about 50 yards).

On street parking was readily available and, although Pay and Display, it is cheap and only runs from 11.30am to 6.00pm (anything left on the clock after 6pm is credited to next morning - English Local Authorities please note!)

I would (and indeed already have) recommend the Tom Barry House apartments to anyone looking for accommodation in this area.
