Villa Doris is a beautiful stone house built in 1907 in traditional Mediterranean style. This two-storied villa boasts with four bedrooms ( two double and two three-bedded ) comfortable suitable for 8 - 10 persons. The spacious covered terrace has outdoor tables, barbecue and offers breathtaking views over the sea and area. The kitchen is completely equipped with fridge, oven, coffee maker, water heater, microwave, toaster, washing machine, kitchen vessels.....The living room with sofa, SAT/TV and DVD is on the ground floor of the house as the dining area that can accommodate 8 persons comfortable. Within 500m you'll discover fabulous restaurants, cafe bars, internet cafe, night club, beaches, hair / beauty salon, supermarket, post office, bank....

Dubrovnik and Cavtat nearby offer a wide range of entertainment as well as cultural and historic sites. We can offer you boat transfer to Dubrovnik, Cavtat, island of Lokrum and sandy beach on Lopud. Or if you wish to discover this magical coast by yourself you can always rent a boat or a car and start the adventure ! Also we can arrange for you excursions by boat ( Elaphite Islands, Fish picnic, Island of Mjlet...) and by minibus ( Peljesac vineyards, Korcula, Mostar, Montenegro, Medjugorje...). If you're an experienced diver or just intending to become one we'll organize diving or diving school for you with professional instructors. All programs meet SSI ( Scuba Schools International ) standards.

We will supply your accommodation with basics so you don't have to run to the shop immediately when you arrive. Small welcome pack - this will include: water, juice, milk, coffee, tea bags, butter, marmalade, toast, cheese, cereal, €30. Large welcome pack - this will include: water, juice, milk, coffee, tea bags, butter, marmalade, toast, cereal, cheese, smoked ham, fruit basket, some good local wine, €50.

Our group of 6 arrived mid September 2008. Flying into Dubrovnik Airport and hiring a 7 seater rental wagon. The rental was completely unnecessary, ferries and local bus offer a regular and cheap service. Parking in the "Old Town" is extremely difficult to find and can be very expensive.... a bus or ferry is less stressful. Day trips exploring interesting Islands are available and a daily service to Dubrovnik "Old Town" depart the local harbour. There is no shortage of things to do or places to visit.... without a motor vehicle.

Villa Doris was more than we expected, clean, spacious and complete with all facilities. A small local bakery and store are 3 minutes walk, the local bus stop is outside these stores. A supermarket is about 12 minutes stroll around the waterfront. These outlets are capable of supplying all your needs, one need not venture any further if a "stay at home and relax" holiday is required.
The view from the patio is excellent and a great place to enjoy early morning breakfast or evening BBQ (BBQ supplied).

The small local harbour is directly below the Villa with a great selection of restaurants, cafes also an internet cafe. Safe swimming beaches are close and the promanade along the waterfront an excellent walk.

The hostess is a remarkable Lady. English is not a problem... even with our Kiwi accent. She is most helpful organising ferry boats, tours and restaurant bookings.

We would recommend this property and return for another visit soon.
